Being Nothing – Thoughts on Dissolution

Questions and Answers, November – December 2014

Mohanji
I believe that nothing is birthright. Only their individual constitution of orientation makes the person… Hindu is a state which means the constant display of perfect equilibrium, perfect objectivity and equanimity, tolerance and deliverance of non-violence at all times, being peaceful and loving.

Q: Is Hinduism a religion? If yes, why are there so many sub-divisions, castes and sub-castes?

A: Hinduism is a state. “Ha” represents the Sun. “Indu” represents the moon. They are the two key meridians which create balance in our system. These “Ida” and “Pingala” nadis or meridians, which balance the heat and cold aspect of our system. If the sun and moon are balanced, which means if the heat and cold are in equilibrium, the person is healthy. One full day means day time and night time. If we dissect it roughly, 3AM to 6AM is the Satwic time which is represented by our Middle Meridian called Sushumna. The moon represents tamas or inertia and partial darkness or sleep and rules over 3PM to 3AM – almost 12 hours which is represented by the moon meridian. The rest of the day, which is represented by the sun 6AM to 3PM is action or rajasic time. This is the time for 100% “terrestriality” or the up and down swings of a “caged” existence. Earth can be considered a cage or prison because our choices are limited to our available awareness and restricted, elemental boundaries such as body, space, time, air, heat, water and earth. So, when we address one as a Hindu, it only means that the person is expected to be in perfect equilibrium. This is also the responsibility each “Hindu” carries – the constant display of perfect objectivity and equanimity. Also, perfection in tolerance and deliverance of non-violence at all times. A true Hindu should solve differences through discussions which maintain inner peace and never through arguments, aggression and violence or anything that destroys peace. This means, Hinduism is a state and not a religion. Anyone can be a Hindu if their operating level matches the state of perfect peace and non-violence within. It also signifies that when the elements are in balance, the emotions and the operations in the world are also in balance. There are no excesses in the system. There are no imbalances. Hence, when we say Hindu, it means we expect the person to be in balance, equanimity, peaceful and loving in the society. When there is imbalance in the system, there is negativity, which means anger, hatred, and violence – so on and so forth. When the elements are in balance, then the expression is love, kindness, compassion so on and so forth. So, become all that and you will become a Hindu. 🙂 There are numerous constitutions and characters on earth. Each being is a unique constitution. One who is predominantly satwic – operating on selflessness, love and kindness, one who has less selfish desires is expressing the qualities of Brahmin, which also means close to the supreme consciousness. The nature of supreme consciousness is unconditional love. One who is aggressive and warrior-like is usually classified as Kshatriya, the warrior/ ruler class who possess the ability to protect all other beings. Another type of people who possess skills of trade is called Vysya. Those who are hunters and are used to working close to earth were classified as Shudras. None of these classifications are superior or inferior to one another. They just signify the orientation of the individual. This is how classes originally happened. Then, they became castes. Then it paved way to intolerance, apartheid and un-touchability to reservations and corruption. I believe that nothing is a birthright or an ornament. We should be human beings first and foremost. Then comes caste and religion. Caste and religion are totally insignificant if people be good and do good, especially if they express godliness and kindness consistently and unconditionally. Only their individual constitution or orientation makes the person. Nothing is high or low. Ignorance has degenerated operating methods. The same is visible in the case of classes and castes as well. Racism and castism are blatant expressions of total ignorance.

Q: Is this why there are 330 Million Deities in the Hindu system?

A: Yes. Each deity is a representation of the supreme un-manifested – just like you and I. Each incarnation is a manifestation. Each thought, word, action is a manifestation. Everything should remind us of the silent yet potent force which manifests through billions of creations. The subtle is the unseen and not recognizable through senses, force that moves the machinery called existence in the universe. Every plant, tree, river and stone is its manifestation. There is a part of it in everything. This is represented by the 330 Million deities. So, how do we worship them all? Simple. Worship the one that is close to you. Your own soul! The subtlest of you can be found only when we detach from our gross aspects. When we go deeper and deeper into the subtle aspect of us, we will start feeling its manifestations in a moment to moment level. We cannot perceive it through any of our senses and the mind. We can only perceive its manifested forms just like you and I. Through connecting to the essence behind the manifestations, we will start feeling the essence all the time. Then we will start operating in the essence level – shedding the lure of the gross manifested level. In other words, we will fathom the size of the whole ice-berg which is huge under-water, much bigger than its manifested aspect above water. The source can only be experienced. None of our faculties can understand it, except some aspects of its gross manifestation. And gross manifestations are bound by time, space, beings and also situations. They are temporary. They change. Hence, the essence behind the manifestation is very vital to be connected. That is why in our system we say everything is manifestation of God so that we will start seeing only God everywhere. This is preliminary towards seeing God inside yourself. When we start seeing God outside in everything, we will always stay connected to God and then we will automatically get diverted to the God inside us. The God within! This is the real you. Then you will know that there is no difference. All are one. Every being is one. All are extensions of one God and that God is the subtlest un-manifest form which runs the universe. Then we realize that we ourselves are the universe. There is nothing apart from us because we are the essence and not the sundry perishable manifestations. So, the 330 Million Gods represent every flavour of our existence. The types, shapes, forms, characters, emotions, needs, so on and so forth. And you are free to connect to any of them as per your constitution. When you connect to the manifested form of your constitution outside of you, it serves as a mirror to yourself. In other words, you can only connect to a God that represents your constitution. Only then can you attain unity and fulfillment. The path says that you can see nothing except God in all manifestations. Now it is up to the seeker to get there. Mohanji quote - All are extensions of one God

Q: In Hindu path, only Lord Vishnu – the one who sustains creations has taken many avatars. Why are the creator, Lord Brahma and the dissolver Lord Shiva not taking any avatars?

A: 🙂 This is a good question. Look at this aspect objectively. The answer is within the question. As far as a creator is concerned, once the creation is over, his job is over. Imagine the builder of your house. He built your house but, he is not staying in your house, right? He built it, handed it over to you, whose destiny is to live in that house which you chose to create through the creator whom you hired and he left as soon as his job is done. Now, Maha Vishnu is the sustainer. He is the one who needs to ensure that you live your life the way you chose it. He is the one who is responsible for the well-being of the environment so that the occupation is supported until it should be or as long as it takes, or even as long as destiny permits. He needs to come time and again to preserve the sanctity of the environment to ensure the right habitat is preserved for the right experience. Lord Krishna explains this beautifully in Bhagavad Gita. “Paritraanaaya Sadhoonam, Vinashaayacha Dushkritam Dharma Samstaapanaarthaaya Sambhavaami Yuge Yuge” Meaning: In order to protect the one who is benevolent and remove the ones who are malevolent from the world; And to preserve the dharma (truthful/rightful duty) of terrestrial existence, I appear (Happen) in each era (Yuga) or I happen again and again. His job is to preserve and maintain Dharma. This is why He must “happen” again and again in human form to handle the human mess. 🙂 Also remember, he says “happen” which means his appearance is a happening which also brings forth many liberated souls to wear the human form and accompany the highest consciousness in his mission. Those who come with awareness never falter in the journey. They display extreme conviction, commitment and consistency. Examples: Hanumanji, Vidura, Uddhava, Radha, Lakshmana so on and so forth. Lord Shiva is the dissolver. His job is to recycle creation. He needs to come only one time, and need not come in disguise at all, to dissolve the whole thing. His job is to nullify the existence of manifested creations or recycle them. Why should he take various avatars for a simple job like that? 😀 Lord Shiva has adorned many temporary forms to reach and guide his devotees. But they are not full-fledged avatars like that of Maha Vishnu who visits each era in an un-ignorable and often irresistible form. We do remember how Bhagawan Shiva came to Adi Shankaracharya in the form of a cobbler to shake him up from the slumber of his egocentric intellect and bring forth wisdom. Bhagawan Shiva asked Sankara “What can move? This body? This body is made of dead organisms and comes alive only with the help of the soul. Hence, there is no difference between your body and that of mine. The soul? The soul is everywhere and is immovable. Your soul and my soul are one and the same.“ Delusion can happen to even great masters at times. God out of sheer love always brings them back to light. So, there you go. The creator and dissolver only do a one time job. The maintainer needs to maintain the place time to time. So, he chooses various forms as per the need of the situation and the size of the activity. His duration of being at the location is also directly dependent on the gravity of the problem. Now, understand that these three great deities whom we worship are three aspects of the one and only non-manifested supreme consciousness. So, once again, it is up to us to transcend the three aspects of ourselves and get there or merge into the supreme consciousness without a trace of any existence ever.

Q: The Karma Story?

A: Karma is like a flowing river. It flows through lifetimes. Karma is alive because of the bubbles of desires that happen in our consciousness every moment. Karma is like a live organism. The Sanchita karma, or collective karma is like an ocean. Many rivers of karma joins this ocean and maintains its water level. The rivers are many, but, some of the key rivers that serve as amazons to the ocean are personal karma that provoked an incarnation, karma from the lineage, karma from the society as well as acquired karma due to our own non-understanding or ignorance (which is usually caused by sundry desires, opinions and emotions). All these and many more rivers serve water into the ocean. Once the water becomes the ocean, it is all salt water. All are just karma. So, individual existence is provided by karma, experiences are also provided by karma. Good and bad experiences are also karma oriented. There is nothing apart from karma. Everything has its root in karma. This is the same from this birth till death as well as all births and deaths. Karma less state is possible when all that we say and do are objective and we are not bound by anything terrestrial. ” Na punyam, na paapam, na saukhyam, na dukham…. Shivoham”. This means, no merits, no sins, no happiness nor sorrow. My state is perpetually that of Shiva – perfect equanimity and bliss. Mind will stay as long as there is karma. Mind will wither away when we do not use it anymore. In relationships, people should be considered as flowing rivers. Karma keeps them flowing from time to time and place to place. Whenever we try to put people into frames, it disrupts the natural flow and the relationship suffers. The main cause for failure in relationships are because of frames that people create in their mind. Frames are nailed by expectations. Expectations often disrupt the free flow of the river. When blockages happen in the river, when water is prevented from flowing, it breaks its boundaries, swells and overflows. Same with relationships.  Never put people in frames. Allow free flow. Guide them through kindness and compassion. Nurture them with love. If love is the operating energy, only good things will happen in life. Society will be cleaner. Remember – All those who put others in any kind of frames have suffered, Each and every one of us are helplessly bound by karma in this lifetime and through lifetimes. Even though karma is unconsciously being created each moment, the resultant suffering is absolutely choice-less as well. Every thought, word and action along with emotion, every expression, paves way for that. Man is helplessly bound by karma. Everything and anything that everyone thinks, speaks and does are all bound by karma. There is none immune from it. Nobody is high or low in karma. Their set of experiences could be different. But, none immune. The field and place of operation, the flavor of character and constitution as well as the duration is determined by karma. It is karma that gives birth to an existence, maintains it and destroys it during every incarnation and beyond.

Q: How do we get there? How do we get liberated?

A: The best way to cure darkness is to bring light. The path outside should lead to the path within. Dig deeper into the essence of you and you will see its manifestations everywhere around you. Go within. Withdraw the senses and mind into your core and evaporate them systematically through merging them into the consciousness that supports our existence. Mohanji quote

Q: How do the seven chakras help? A: They are the transformers regulating the flow of praana into the system. Leave the chakras alone. When your alignment is perfected, due to your non-interference into your own system, all chakras will quite spontaneously function perfectly well. It would be advisable not to pay much attention to chakras when you are in the path of dissolution. It is the path of pathless. Concepts should dissolve before the mind dissolves. Concepts block smooth journey. Concepts sit in the mind. When concepts sit in the mind, there is no possibility of dissolving the mind. So, we need to learn to accept, understand, and not resist ourselves and life around us. This way, concepts will lose its value. And mind will become insignificant.

Q: I have heard there are chakras in the head apart from the seven vertically positioned chakras.

A: Yes. They are more of centres than chakras. They do not have a functional role like chakras. They are positions or centres which help determine where you stand or where you have reached in your ascension. The key centres in the head apart from the third eye (Ajna) and the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) are Kailas, Bodhini, Bindu, Nada and Kala. These are called Upper Aadhars, platforms or centres (Melaadhaar). Only up to Ajna can the gunas follow. Beyond Ajna it is all Nirguna, guna-less or subtle.

Q: Mohanji, I see that you are avoiding using the word Kundalini. Why?

A: Avoid concepts. Avoid all concepts. I would have avoided the word Chakra as well. Lesser concepts we carry, easier we can release the mind. Hence, Feel. Feel. Feel. This is better for a smooth journey. Concepts always bind us. Concepts are traps. They activate the mind matter. It is addictive. We love and hate people and materials based on our concepts. Due to concepts, mind stays alive longer and prevents our dissolution, which is our birthright. This is like the pages or files that we have opened and kept in our computer that prevent us from shutting down the computer after use. We have to close all the files before we can shut down the computer otherwise the computer stays operational. Mind always binds us to an existence. This maintains the past residues in some way. slide-45

Q: How do residues of lifetimes prevent transit?

A: It does not prevent transit. It slows us down. It delays the process. Residues are impressions carried out of emotions pertaining to events from each lifetime. We may have taken thousands of lives. And life is always evolutionary. We keep evolving life after life. Hence, before a series of human existence, we might have taken many incarnations as other beings, of other species. A residue from all these lives is possible as the reason for our character traits of this life. This is why each incarnation is complex. We can never estimate any incarnation. We will grossly fail to understand the subtlety or the reason behind the character trait of each incarnation. Hence, we cannot judge or condemn anyone. This is why I said the residue delays transit.

Q: What actually happens when we meditate/concentrate on our inner world – per se the centres of our head zone? Why I used the word zone is because we cannot say this in association with the physical head.

A: Yes. Physical head is just a suggestion or a location for concentration. Through or by concentrating within our physical head, we transcend the barrier or dimension of the physical. The clear advantage is, we as humans are a bundle of acquired concepts. Our everyday reality is just the projection of a particular concept on an external object. We consistently do that. We do acquire new concepts from time to time. But, we can never realize the truth by hoarding/entertaining concepts. The external world for us can be considered as manifestation of our concepts. We see the world according to our concept and not according to the truth. Our opinions are also extensions of our concepts. Our thought process and character are also influenced by our concepts. There are no people. Just walking and talking concepts. 🙂 Have nothing to do with them. 😀 Thus, we are totally bound by the relative existence. The problem with concepts is that concepts make everyone feel that they are right all the time because their testing stone is their own acquired concepts. It also gives a false feeling that others are wrong. The right and wrongs of life are usually offspring of individual, social, moral, religious, educational concepts. Governments and dictators manipulated and bound their subjects with concepts. Concepts reduce tolerance. It binds mind to frames. The socio-moral frames which destroy spontaneity of life are all formed out of concepts. If karma is equal to fulfillment, concept is anti-fulfillment and hence anti-karma. It binds man to repetitive existence because it prevents spontaneity and hence fulfilment. The gunas (Satwa, Rajas and Tamas) that the creator used to form flavours in constitution in its creation also aid the creation of concepts in the mind. We look at or understand a person, or a situation based on our software which is basically flavoured by the gunas. Thus, we can see or understand a person or a thing only based on what software is within/inside us. This is very limiting. When we withdraw from the external world and start dwelling in the centres of our head zone, we start seeing the truths. The un-distorted truths! That too, without the bias baggage based on our concepts. Then there can only be unconditional love.

Q: Many people meet you, feel you at many places in your physical absence. Is this astral presence?
A:
No. It is operation from consciousness. Physical and astral have limitations. Unit based limitations. Both has volume. Both are space bound. Consciousness wise there is none. So, when I come to you, it is the consciousness that is reaching you. Or, in other words, it is operating through the consciousness that is with you all the time. This is neither bound by time, space or property. This will stay as it is beyond a physical existence too and hence, it is not even bound by an incarnation. All incarnations are part of it. All are united by this. And consciousness does not have to reach you. It is always with you, around you and within you. It just solidifies into the form or experience that is in need. The intensity of your connection to my incarnation makes it tangible for you as vision, presence, fragrance or vibrations. It has in fact nothing to do with the physical body. Physical body is just an object of connection or concentration. It is the consciousness that is at work beyond time, space and physical. This is why Christ Consciousness and Krishna Consciousness exists even today, many years after they physically removed their incarnations.

Q: What are Kriyas?

A: Techniques to attain total liberation. slide-50

Q: What are the major classifications or types of Bhakti (Devotion)?

Shantha Bhaav Bhakti – This is a relaxed, non-interfering devotion. There is no demand from the seeker to the sought in this aspect. The seeker is happy to be around and always ready to give a helping hand, but needs or asks nothing. The seeker is always peaceful and tranquil. Vidura of Mahabharatha expressed this type of devotion.

Daasa Bhaav Bhakti – Devotion with the attitude of a servant. Hanumanji is the most famous example as the exponent of this style. He was awakened, but, because of his awakening, he knew who Lord Ram was and dedicated himself to the service of the avatar. He even mentioned to Ram to permit him to continue to serve him by keeping the flavour of duality as two separate bodies or entities, ignoring the unifying consciousness which makes them one. “Let me stay separate from you so that I can see you outside of me and serve you as Avatar Ram and I shall keep the illusion that I am Hanuman, separate from you as a separate entity. The moment I realize and start operating in the realization that we are indeed one, I may stop serving you. So, please allow me to maintain this illusion” This is illusion by choice. This may feel awkward for an average seeker who is always craving for a total merger with the supreme consciousness. This also clearly demonstrates the intensity of Hanumanji’s daas bhaav. He also said “This body of Hanuman is at your service. This mind is your servant; your wish is my command. Yet, this soul is one with your soul. Soul-wise, you and I are one”. Hanumanji perfected Daas-Bhaav or servant-hood in devotion which totally annihilates the ego element at all times. This bhaav helps dissolution much faster. One of the most powerful of all bhakti bhaavs is Daas Bhaav.

Sakhya Bhaav Bhakti – Friendliness – Being friends with God. Arjuna of Mahabharatha and Sugreeva of Ramayana expressed this flavour towards Lord Krishna and Lord Rama respectively. They respected the respective avatars, but, almost always there was no true devotion in its fullest sense. There was love, there was feeling, but, it was more of a friendship. When we feel the object of our worship is our friend, it is called Sakhya Bhaav. This often deludes because of familiarity. Familiarity may lead to indifference. Indifference leads to detachment from the truth or stature of the object. Then the benefit of being with a perfect master gets diluted. Only one with a very high level of maturity should opt for this. They should have arrived at a state where no external factor or superficial mannerisms of the other can touch or change their understanding and awareness.

Valsalya Bhaava Bhakti – This is the emotion that one feels towards one’s child. Devaki and Nanda felt this towards Lord Krishna. This is the love of a parent towards a child. Sage Thyagaraja, Kabir, Surdas and Tulsidas expressed this kind of devotion towards Lord Ram and Lord Krishna respectively. Many who wrote hymns out of over-flowing love for their master or lord expressed the love of a parent towards their child. This is a sustainable love. This can be sustained primarily because the object of devotion does usually not exist in a body. The love is towards a mental image or a concept which usually stays consistent because there is no physical living aspect to it. Secondly, the mental image is kept on a particular aspect of the object, such as baby Krishna, Young boy Krishna, Baby Ram etc. This means the age of the object of worship is also kept still or constant. The age and attributes are kept constant by the seeker because the object of worship is an entity that lived in the past. This helps maintain the intensity and when such concentration happens over an object, it helps awakening and realization.

Madhurya Bhaava/ Prem bhaav – This is more of a lover aspect. This kind of devotees feels their object of worship almost like a lover, partner or husband. Meera Bai, Radha, and all the Gopikas considered Lord Krishna in this bhaav. This is a powerful bhaav. When you are really in love, your mind is constant on the object of love. Whenever we are in love, we are fully concentrated on the object of our love. This prevents the mind from wavering. This helps devotion. Even if the object of love is not in physical body, the love can be as intense as otherwise. A person, who sees the lord or master as a lover, will see his reflection in every being. Meera was only seeing Krishna everywhere and made poetry out of it. Various saints and masters of the bhakti path did the same. “Tell me, oh Lord, where can I look where you are not!” The bhaav of the lover is usually intense. It may also lead to possessiveness and jealousy if the object of love is in his body. Love should never be “thought”. You can only be love. Love should be felt and it should be spontaneous. When we think, it is not love anymore. Thought removes love. Love is a spontaneous emotion and it needs no reason. Causeless love is pure. An object or a person can trigger that in any human, of course, depending on his/her constitution. Love makes people brave and often removes fears. Fearless state is also awakened state. So, the lover bhaav has its own traps and merits. Prem bhaav can have much higher dimensions than the bhaav of a lover when the subject sees the multi-dimension of the object of his/her worship translated into real life situations and sees the reflection of the object in every event, person, situation and time. So, this bhaav is a perpetual bhaav which transcends all barriers and emotions and keeps both the subject and object liberated or unbound from each other unlike the bhaav or possessiveness which can creep into a lover-hood.

Satrubhaav Bhakti – This is the most interesting bhaav. The bhaav of an enemy which intensifies the connection of the subject with his/her object of hatred. Kamsa hated Lord Krishna but almost always remembered him and thus connected to his object of hatred with great intensity. Ravana always remembered Ram. It was impossible for them to forget their object of hatred through day and night. Thus their connection with their enemy made their satru-bhaav bhakti so intense that Lord Vishnu himself had to take human form as Avatar Krishna and Ram to despatch Kamsa and Ravana respectively. So, the enemy bhaav is very fierce and powerful even though it is negative. It binds and even destroys. It is based on fear. All other bhaavs bring peace in mind while enemy bhaav always keeps the mind contaminated and restless. Because of that, those who slip into this bhaav knowingly or unknowingly will always be mentally active in the negative way, scheming and plotting to destroy the object of their enmity. But, the flip side is that, they would be connected to their object of enmity, much more than a regular devotee. They would be connecting with extreme intensity and would be even drawing energy from the object of their hatred for energizing and executing their hatred towards the very same object that they hate. Whatever we resist always persists because we are indirectly or unknowingly energizing them. It is said that the soul of Kamsa and the soul of Ravana merged with Lord Krishna and Lord Rama respectively because the avatars themselves performed their execution. This is a peace-less bhaav and many around them suffer because of their enmity. Hence, this can be considered only on an academic basis and not for practice. And it takes an aggressive constitution spiced up with expectation, greed, ownership, possessiveness and control-hunger to have any kind of enmity towards anyone. Yet, in absolute sense, the enemy bhaav also is a bhaav of devotion, especially if the object is an avatar – even though the subject is not aware that they are worshipping and using the energy of their object. This is an ignorant bhaav. This is totally a deluded bhaav. (Bhaav means feeling, flavor, attitude etc) Mohanji quote

Q: What is the meaning of Mantra?

Mananena Traayate iti Mantra – What can liberate through contemplation – that is mantra. Manana is contemplation traayate means to achieve or to protect. And what you can achieve through contemplation is meditation or journey inward. Meditation leads to liberation. Mantra should be chanted with feeling and concentration. Mantras create Neuro-lingusitc effect. Scientists have said this.

Q: What if we cannot meditate because of fluctuating mind?

A: When mind refuses to stay calm, you cannot meditate. When mind prevents meditation, resort to chanting. Chanting is always the remedy. It occupies the mind and keeps it with the mantra at least for a few minutes. Stop and repeat many times over and it will bring you a relative calm. There is nothing called permanent calm as long as mind exists. Chanting is the best medicine when restless mind disallows meditation. Mind is the seat of emotions. So, mind could easily delude you and give you a false feeling that mind is in control. This prevents ascension. In this context, mind gives you the feeling of a close friend while in reality; it is a bitter enemy in disguise. Close friends turning enemies are more dangerous and much worse than established enemies. 🙂

Q: Why cannot I be consistent? Why mind fluctuates?

A: Mind takes inspiration from desires that trigger impulses based on situation and environment. For a tired person, the desire would be to rest. For a hungry person, the desire would be to have food. Likewise, each situation triggers a corresponding desire. Mind adopts it and it manifests in life. Secondly, we are social beings. We live with other beings. Each being has a constitution. Each one triggers his/her impulses on each one. The mind adopts some of them and manifests them too. This means acquired impressions. Our expressions of compassion, kindness, anger or jealousy are examples of such manifestations of the mind. Thirdly, the environment has impressions stored in the form of vibrations. A place of worship usually has smooth, calm and peaceful energy, while a battlefield will have extreme restless and unsettled energy derived out of pain, agony and death. This is subtle. Our mind responds to it and collects a bit of it. Likewise, as we walk the street, we walk through various such energies. We collect them and often we manifest them without knowing why. This is why the scriptures insist on adopting “good company”, or the company that elevates you instead of the company that pulls you down through fears, anxieties, jealousy, hatred or enmity. Those who raise your frequency and awareness are good for you. Those who bring your restlessness are not so good for you. Avoid that company, if you could. So, any of these could be the reason for your restlessness. If you could diagnose well, avoid the cause in the future and remove the impression through increased awareness that you are not those manifestations and you are beyond all these momentary impulses.

Q: How and why do we gather dirt while in spiritual path?

A: Spiritual path is not a separate path. It is part of every path such as physical, emotional, intellectual, and financial – if they are separate paths according to you. We gather dirt in every path as well as every moment knowingly or unknowingly. Dirt is usually emotional dirt or concepts in the intellect level. The more concepts you harbour, the more bound you become. The more bound you are, the more restless you will become. The more restless you are, the more detached from truth and peace. Thus, it is a vicious cycle. The source of restlessness could be an external being or an acquired concept. The result is emotional dirt. As long as we live in the society, this is inevitable. We are social beings. Anything and everything can and will trigger thoughts. They all can trigger restlessness. Paying attention to negative thoughts, words and actions will leave its residue inside the canvas of our mind. It gathers more of similar emotions from outside, other people or situations or makes them through analysis. Hence, the first intake itself should be avoided. Do not listen to the words of anger, hatred, jealousy and contamination. Do not listen to negative news. Stay away from television programs that create restlessness, anger, hatred and anarchy within. Stay with inner peace. Stay with positive thoughts, words and action. Avoid gossips. Prevention is always better than cure. Likewise, do not participate in negative activities, which means activities triggered by anger, hatred, jealousy, so on and so forth. Then adopt the company of beings who operate in higher frequency. Still, do not connect to their character. Connect only to their consciousness. This is a fragile world. Everything changes here each moment. Be the change and be spontaneous. Be free. Mohanji quote

Q: According to you, what is the root cause of all the man-made calamities that the world has faced from time to time?

A: Unrealistic ambitions; lack of awareness about the real truth; complexes; greed; so on and so forth. A calm mind cannot churn out anarchy. It takes a turbulent mind to create wars. Turbulent minds have existed through time and they cling on to external comfort zones to hide their turbulences. They kill the faces that talk the true truth (non-relative truth). Their whole existence is based on their comfort zones of relative truths and unconscious pretensions. Unless you plunge yourself into the non-relative truth, there is no salvation. Unless you realize that the problem is not outside of you, there is no redemption. Our unrealistic ambitions and the craving for snatching it from the mouths of the deserving have caused tremendous pains and sorrows in the world. It has made the world worse and worse as each sun went down the sea.

Q: Spiritual practitioners talk about nectar of the heavens that man gets to taste when energy moves to his head. Can you explain?

A: This is a part of the Kriya techniques. When the tongue touches the top back of the palette and touches the nasal opening, when the moving energies conglomerate and start working with the energy flow from above, it produces a sweet honey-like taste over the tongue. It gives multiple dimensions to individual. This state detaches man from the usual powerful craving or bindings such as food and sex. It takes time for man to establish in this sphere where only the “head” exists. Rolling the tongue back is also symbolic of detachment from food or earth. It is said that the womb state is also a “Kecheri” state. In the womb state, there is no consumption through mouth. Then, the tongue is supposed to be connected to the palette and it directly sources/channels the energy/prana that flows uninterrupted from above while the umbilical cord caters to the physical aspect such as formation of body and organs. The metaphysical state of the womb state can be called a state of Samadhi. In order to be able to experience the “nectar of heaven”, we need to move into a subtler state where we are able to experience the inexperienceable. When I say “inexperienceable” I mean using the common faculties such as senses, mind and intellect. The tongue should be rolled back into the throat region systematically, over time. It starts with the palette – soft palette – and connects with the Uvula (the small tongue). When it connects to the Uvula – it is symbolic of our lower consciousness connecting with the ever-present and ever-existent higher consciousness. When this connection/marriage intensifies, this union produces nectar. It is the same state when the lower and higher consciousness unite and existence becomes complete. These are higher states of Samadhi where body is totally insignificant. Even the world is insignificant. It is a perpetual bliss state. It stops the dependency on materials such as food and water and even air. So, just like in the womb state, unlike the need for the supply through umbilical cord for the formation of the physical, since there is no physical to be formed, the source/prana sustains the union. In that aspect, we could say that the only consumption is the divine nectar which runs from the Uvula into the tongue. Bliss is sweet. Samadhi state is bliss. Nectar is heavenly. Consciousness carries the nectar of the heavens. Heaven is within consciousness.

Q: Is the nectar real?

A: Yes. It is. It cannot be analyzed. Its feel is that of nectar. I cannot say that it is actually a liquid. It has the taste of celestial honey and it detaches you. It can constantly flow only when you are cut off from the world – more or less.

Q: Last week you spoke about the fluid unity of consciousness. How can stillness be fluid?

A: Fluid unity of consciousness is the blood that flows through the veins of the universe. Stillness is the substratum. Stillness is the state of absolute consciousness. Fluid is the state of movement. Movement is related to creation. Hence, even in movement, the consciousness is still. Reflect on it. Contemplate on it. You will understand. This is not easy to understand using the intellect. Remember, external knowledge has limitations. It needs intellect to decode and time to digest.

Q: Who are you to me?

A: Relationships have multiple flavors. It is never the same. Each relationship has a main theme or flavour and many shades of it. So, we can usually only define a relationship based on a main flavour. For example; Parent and son relationship. It has the main flavour of unconditionality, belongingness and perhaps reverence, then it has subflavours such as custodian, protector, guide, provider, so on and so forth as well as it changes with time. Initially the parent could be the supporter and provider. As time slips past, it may become vice versa. So, if the question is who are you to me? The answer is none of the things that your mind may project. Then? It is what happens at a moment. That is the flavour. This is how it should be. It should not be or need not be judged in the socio-moral light. Everything can take an ugly connotation in the socio-moral light because it is grossly two dimensional. When mind interferes, there is contamination. When mind is absent, there is fulfillment. Think about it. Concepts that the mind holds contaminate an experience as well as a relationship. This is why in our prayers we consider god as everything, every relationship, every material, every emotion, everything. slide-96

Yes! I AM SHIVA

I am Shiva. The Infinite. Beyond Creation and Dissolution. SHIVOHAM!

Excerpts from a  few chat conversations with Antonino Moreti (Italy). The full version could possibly appear in some Italian magazine, if it is worth it. 🙂 Anyways, this could be interesting reading for some. The tone of the discussion is friendly, casual, leisurely and certainly non-provocative. Just to introduce A.Moreti, he is a spiritual enthusiast and a theatre artist. He liked my blogs because of “its straightforwardness, clarity and honesty and above all it makes sense.” And he thought it would be “interesting” to explore the man behind those words and ideas. And we communicated briefly, a few times because of time constraints. So, what follows is only about a fourth of what we have been discussing over chat. Enjoy…

A.M: Looking into your eyes, this question wells up in my mind. Are You SHIVA?

M: Yes. I am SHIVA.

A.M: And the other beings of the universe? Who are they?

M: All are SHIVA. All are units of SHIVA. All are drops of the same ocean.

A.M: Are you sure?

M: Yes. I am sure. I am witnessing Shiva every moment. All are Shiva.

A.M. Who or what is SHIVA?

M: Shiva is beyond any definitions at all. Attempting to define Shiva would be an adventure. A real Mission Impossible. 🙂 Shiva can only be experienced and not intellectually understood. A bucket cannot contain the water of the ocean.
Shiva has two distinct identities in human understanding which blurs at times. Shiva as the Supreme Parabrahma and Shiva as a finite entity who is married to Goddess Parvathy and has children. Shiva as the house holder represents human existence, a god with wife and children, yet supremely, spiritually powerful. He is a householder and a master at the same time. Master of masters – Supreme master and Saint of all saints – Supreme Saint. He floats with time and is timeless too.
On the other hand, Shiva as the Supreme Parabrahma is formless and beyond time and space. He is the indivisible unity. This Shiva has no beginning or end. He is Parabrahma. Shiva Linga represents that Shiva. It is multi dimensional or all-dimensional.  We also worship Shiva as a finite entity who is easy to get annoyed and angry (Kshipra Kopi) and also easy to please.(Kshipra Prasadi)
Here, I am talking about Shiva as Parabrahma, just the way Lord Krishna represents the Supreme in Bhagawad Gita. All identifications of such elevated consciousness are only with the Supreme formless which is beyond all dimensions. Another aspect of Shiva is Dakshinamoorthy, the knowledge incarnate. Shiva came as a “chandala”, a man of “low caste” in Indian caste system. (In reality, it is the individual combination of Gunas and the level of awareness that determines the stature of an individual, as proved here by the appearance of Shiva to Adi Shankara – and birth in a particular caste does not guarantee awareness. Krishna, Jesus, Buddha, Bhagawan Nithyananda and Shirdi Baba were not from priestly caste.). He came with four dogs to give wisdom to Adi Shankara (four dogs represent four vedas) (Dogs represent protection. Vedas are meant to protect Dharma. Protection aspect of Vedas are represented by Dogs – Eg: Dogs accompany Lord Dattatreya, the preserver of Dharma. And Lord Dattatreya is unity of Trinity. The principle of vedas accompany Him in the form of dogs. Dogs are also faithful, loyal and always alert) , Shiva as hunter (Vettakkorumakan), Hanumanji is also considered as an (amsha) essence of Shiva…So on and so forth…

Shiva is Himalayas. Shiva is all pervading. Shiva is everyone. Everyone is Shiva. Shiva is everything! Shivoham!

A.M. In Hindu tradition – I consider Hinduism as a path, a tradition and not a religion because there are 330 Million Gods in the tradition and there are many castes and sub-castes within the tradition – Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva have equal importance. So, why only Shiva? Pardon me if this question is stupid.

M: No. The question is relevant. You are right. Hinduism is not a religion, it is a path, a tradition. There are 330 Million Gods, because 1/3 of you is God element. The soul element is the God element. Only if you worship the soul element within you, will you merge with the supreme soul, Parabrahman. Only if you recognize the soul element or God element in every being, will you be able to witness the all-pervading God who dwells in all beings. As long as we see differences, we are in ignorance. When you look around, if you only see God, you are complete. You are one with God. The path to Parabrahma is our soul.  There are 330million people in the world (a centuries old rough estimate which says “33 crores”. It also implies 33% God element in every being-roughly 1/3rd.) and each person is essentially a part of God, irresepective of whether one knows it or not. So, we have 330 million Gods. If we have 7 billion population on earth today, that means we have 7 Billion Gods too. Still 33% remains constant. Plus all other beings of the universe. All are God. Everything is God. There is nothing apart from God.
This also means that one can follow and accept any God, only if it suits one’s inherent constitution. Each individual’s constitution is unique. Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva represent three aspects of the Supreme Parabrahma. That means, creation, maintenance and dissolution. They have equal importance. They all are same. All manifestations are formed out of the Supreme un-manifested. Just some variety in subtlety, but essentially the same. Supreme Un-manifested is raw energy. So, each one of the trinity are equal and equally powerful. My mention about SHIVA is SHIVA as Parabrahma, not an entity with the limited role of dissolution. In that context, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma are one and the same. There is no trinity. There is only unity. There is only Parabrahma. Behind all manifestations is one energy. That is Parabrahma. The real source. All forms represent the formless. All forms have materialized from and will dissolve back into the formless.

A.M. What is consciousness?

M: Shiva is consciousness. Consciousness is Shiva.

A.M. So, what are we?

M: Consciousness. Shiva.

A.M. Is there any degree variation?

M: There are no degree variations. Consciousness is full and complete. But, there is degree variation in awareness. Some experience fully, some partially, some randomly and some do not experience at all. Those who constantly experience, will exist in bliss and silence, and those who seldom experience will keep talking theories, book knowledge or someone’s words. 🙂

A gateway far beyond all book knowledge - the mighty Third Eye of Shiva...

A.M. Mohanji, I know that you have not accumulated wealth in this life and that you prefer to spend it in support of the poor and helpless. Is there anything worth nurturing in this life, apart from Spirituality?

M: Nothing is worth nurturing in this life apart from awareness. Even spirituality is not worth nurturing. Spirituality is a state, which is natural and is also an ingredient of our existence. If spirituality becomes repetitive and ritualistic, it loses its purpose. Spirituality usually intensifies and dilutes as per the circumstance and necessity. Spirituality happens to all, sooner or later, because it is related to spirit, the same energy that runs our life! 🙂 So, whether we nurture it or not, it will happen.
Usually, people access spirituality only when helplessness is at its peak. When there is nowhere else to go, we turn to God. This is human nature. There is nothing worth nurturing external to us. We will have to leave everything behind when we leave, including wealth and relationships.
AWARENESSS is the only aspect within us that is worth nurturing. Awareness that we nurture grows with us, through lifetimes. It is worth nurturing. Awareness is our connectivity into consciousness, ability to ‘plug in’ at will. Just like we grow from class to class, year by year, we grow in awareness through life times. As awareness grows, higher consciousness becomes accessable. It has always been available, but, until we have the faculty to access the higher consciousness, we cannot enjoy it. Awareness is the path that helps us reach higher realms of consciousness. In order to cross the mighty ocean of duality and reach the realm of non-dual consciousness, we need the help of higher awareness. It is worth investing in. It is the only thing worth investing in and it is purely an internal matter. Nothing external, even your external Guru, can only direct you to your internal Guru. Guru helps to remove your ignorance or Maya, by showing the light of wisdom. But, it is your increased awareness that makes you realize who you actually are!

A.M. What practice helps develop higher awareness?

M: Witnesshood. (Sakshi Bhav) Being in NOW.

A.M. What is real wealth?

M: That which can be carried with you when you die. That wealth is awareness. Only awareness. This is why meditation is important. Contemplation on truth is important. Right understanding is important. Death cannot remove awareness from you. Awareness travels with the soul along with other samskaaras and unfulfilled desires, when it sheds the body. Death snatches everything else away from an existence. So, the only thing that is worth striving for, is awareness. Awareness happens from within. Money and wealth is always existing outside of you. It is certainly good for terrestrial existence. You can take only what is within you, at the time of death. That means, only what is close to the soul can be taken by the soul. Body and everything outside of the body must be left behind. We must be aware of this truth always.

A.M: How do we know that awareness is growing in us?

M: Usual expression of higher awareness is decreased dependancy on everything outside of you. We will automatically distance ourselves from greed, selfishness, anger, dissatisfaction with what we have and craving for what we do not have, perpetual sadness, jealousy, competition with one another, comparisons, inertia and accumulation oriented-ness etc; and we spontaneously shift to selflessness, kindness, compassion, Unconditional Love…. Self-sufficiency and happiness with or without a thing, anything, is a clear sign of increased awareness. Having everything and not needing anything is real richness. Real richness is a state of mind. That is when nothing outward attracts us anymore. Of course, even while awareness increases, samskaaras, still in-built in our nature, continue to express forth. But our dependency level will change. We start to lead a liberated existence. In such an existence, a particular ritual, meditation, manthra, chanting or anything that usually makes us feel happy or comfortable will not be a necessity anymore. We will not be bound by anything. No habits bind us. We stay liberated from within. Such a person can walk any path, do anything – but nothing will touch him nor will he become dependent on it. If these aspects of higher awareness are practiced consciously, awareness will grow automatically. So, reversal also works! 🙂 That is, when we consciously practice the visible terrestrial signs of higher awareness, it will eventually lead to higher awareness.

A.M. Mohanji, I like your style, your clarity and if I may, straight to the point approach. Tell me, how do we gain that clarity?

M: Simple. Be me. Be my consciousness. Simply – BE.

A.M. What is knowledge?

M: Just an intellectual requirement.

A.M. Does knowledge exist?

M: Apart from you? NO. Apart from you? YES.

A.M. I do not understand.

M: You are knowledge incarnate. Everything is within you. So, knowledge does not exist apart from you. You are knowledge incarnate, yet your intellect fails to recognise that and seeks knowledge outside of you, using your senses. This is highly limited. Too much of limitations. One has lots of food at home; good quality food. Yet, he prefers to go out and eat from the street. The beautiful ocean within us goes unrecognized and the small pool outside is appreciated. It takes lots of awareness to recognize what lies within you, instead we try to find happiness outside of us. So, in the context of intellect, Yes, knowledge is outside of you. So, while the very truth is “NO” as all knowledge is within you; while in terms of Maya, it is – “YES”.

A.M. Understood. So, what exists outside of us?

M: Nothing.

A.M. Then why is this illusion? Why is this drama?

M: Just multiple expressions of Maya. Maya at work! Multiple expressions of Duality. Relativity at work.

A.M. I agree. When everything boils down, when all waves subside, the still ocean remains.

M: Absolutely. And the ocean itself is Maya, if you are witnessing the ocean from outside. If you recognize that you are the ocean yourself, then, it would be just a realization – Aham Brahmasmi! There is no “me” . There is nothing apart from me.  🙂 There is nothing to “know”.

A.M. Ah! WOW! You said it so simply. That is a profound truth indeed!.

M: This is the same truth that all the saints and yogis have told us ever since time began. This information is nothing new. 🙂

One is all and all is One. What seems as separate is illusion! Living in illusions, we fail to “see” the reality.

A.M. Mohanji, it is a week since we communicated. I have been assimiliating what you discussed with me so far.

M: And did you finally realize that it is all a bunch of crap? 🙂

A.M. 😮 On the contrary, I feel this would be useful for the generations to come.

M: 😮 Do not worry about generations to come. We have no real control on the future. There will be others to guide the generations to come. We have only NOW to consider. Is it useful NOW? Yes? Then it is worth it.

A.M. My cousin Liz says she is in love with you. She wants to marry you. 😮

M: HA HA. What a joke! Anyways, I am happily married indeed, in the terrestrial terms! But sure, Liz is certainly welcome to marry my consciousness. 🙂 That is the real me. It is worth it as it is permanent. As a human being, I do not “exist”. And this body is temporary, fragile and highly perishable. All are welcome to marry my consciousness. 🙂  16008 women married Krishna’s consciousness and attained liberation.  Consciousness is eternal. Through my consciousness, I can have many “wives”, beyond gender, space and time. 🙂 Moreover, terrestrial marriage is usually a deep entanglement, and often it leads to jealousy and kind of ownership, unless higher awareness and lack of expectation is developed from deep within. Marriage should never be based on boredom, escapism, expectation and infatuation, in terrestrial terms. Marriage should always be purpose-bound; two people coming together for a larger purpose in existence which leads to perfect fulfillment of joint karmic agenda. And I believe Liz is at least 40 years older than me – so it is important for her to marry my consciousness before it is too late? 🙂

A.M. HA HA…. What is marriage for you?

M: Completion.

A.M. Completion of?

M: Journey. Completion in Life. Completion of a Karmic life, objectively speaking.

A.M. Mohanji, what is your religion?

M: Religion of Love. All other religions are just barriers, walls. I only believe in Unconditional Love beyond all human barriers.

A.M. Mohanji, how do you handle three or more distinctly different planes of existence equally? A. Professional B. Spiritual C. Charity D. Family E. Socio-commercial and never mix them ever? Where do you get so much energy from? Don’t you get tired?

M: This is simple. We are everything. We are a father, husband, son, boss, servant, social being, commercial being etc etc. When you operate, be extremely objective. Do not blur between tasks. And do not procrastinate. JUST DO IT. Work should be considered as sacred – as worship. If we know what we are doing, and if our mind is firm on our activity of the moment without oscillation, time is aplenty. Procrastination saps a lot of time from our lives and leaves us tired and inefficient. People think a lot and avoid all actions and later complain that life is not treating them well or is worthless! I fail to understand them. 🙂 🙂 Lastly, I have never been afraid to walk alone. I do not understand the meaning of the word FEAR! Fear paralyzes us and marries or binds us with forceful inaction. I believe in truthful action where fear has no existence. When you love what you do, when your life is purposeful, there will not be any tiredness, or boredom. Tedium is a by-product of having to do what you do not enjoy doing. I enjoy what I do. I do not get tired. My path is clear and life is purpose-bound. I am a passionate man. 🙂

A.M. Important Question: What is Shaktipat?

M: 🙂 Important Answer: Read my past blogs. 🙂

A.M. Seriously, Mohanji, I would like a precise answer from you. I have read what you have said earlier. I want to give something more precise to the world. You could do that through me? 🙂

M: Whatever I ever gave is precise. Shaktipat is the infusion of a higher energy into the often static lower energy planes in existence. The higher energy activates everything dormant. It brightens up the cells and rejuvenates the existence. It removes blockages and also changes or upgrades the frequency of the receiver.

A.M. What about Pranapath and Shivapath?

M: Theory is the same. Intensity is different and effect is different. How does a stone become a deity? When the prana or the power of the deity is infused into the stone in a ritualistic manner, the stone becomes God. Likewise, we are stones of existence or at least stone-like, often insensitive and unresponsive. 🙂 Please do not take me wrong – no arguements please. 😮 Just understand the context, the example, in its light. I am not calling men – stones. So, when matter gets life, it becomes an entity. Likewise, through Shaktipat, we rejuvenate and re-vitalise the life force which elevates the receivers. It takes them to higher dimensions. It changes their inner software. There are different manthras and methods for installing different deities, right? Likewise, there are differences in the energy levels and capacities of each. Each person gets only what he/she can handle. What happens when a 20 watt bulb gets a 1000 watt infusion? Just for argument’s sake, what happens when a normal human womb receives the soul of an Avatar?(It is highly unlikely) The womb will not be able to hold that soul for long. The womb will burst. Of course, an avatar always chooses the right mother to deliver it; the entity who is powerful enough to bring forth an avatar. I am describing this only for understanding’s sake. Natural frequency of an individual is never violated when Shaktipat is delivered. This is why outstanding results are recorded from around the world.
All of us have our set of blockages as we have our levels of awareness. Shaktipat shifts the level of consciousness in an individual, burning the karmas that are blocking the way and removing blockages in multiple levels such as Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Spiritual, so on and so forth. Who will be benefited the most from Shaktipat? Those who are open and receptive. Receptivity makes all the difference. Some people come with a closed mind and complain that they felt nothing. Such people blame me as ineffective and will never accept that they were not open to receiving the Shaktipat. 🙂 Human nature!

A.M. We in Europe are a bit addicted to Lineage. 🙂 Does lineage of a Guru matter?

M: In the family of a legend, can you expect a similar prodigy in each generation? Most of our past Great Masters just happened or appeared from nowhere. They shone bright just because of their stature. A Guru might be of high calibre. It does not mean that any of his disciple are of his calibre. Likewise, look at the whole Datta tradition, individuals became prominant because of their stature. So, stature is more important. Spiritual Stature. Pedigree cannot guarantee stature. It can only  guarantee status. Often people mistake status for stature. Status may get us name, position and fame. But, stature has got to be acquired through lifetimes of spiritual practice. Who cared about the lineage of Adi Shankara, Vyasa, Vasishta, Shirdi Sai Baba? Everyone respected their stature. So, stature has much more value than status, pedigree or lineage. Lineage only tells about the path, and perhaps guarantees status; but can never guarantee stature.

A.M. Mohanji, A funny question – Are you real? I often feel that you are not real, that you do no exist.

M: 🙂 It is not a funny question. It is a good question. No. I am also an illusion. I do not exist.

A.M. How can I gain clarity?

M: Shift in consciousness brings forth the corresponding clarity.

A.M. How can there be differences? How can there be high and low?

M: There are no highs and lows in the absolute sense. There are only variations in vision and awareness. Physical manifestations or representations are only expressions of relativity. How can there be high without a low? How can relativity be expressed without duality?

A.M. Relativity confuses….

M: HA HA.. Answer lies within the question itself. Go beyond relativity – confusion ends there. 🙂

A.M. How long will you work in the highly competitive commercial world or among the pretensions and the heavy gross?

M: As long as this heart beats, I will work, but perhaps not in the highly competitive commercial world of profits and pretensions. I am proving a point here. We can operate in contradicting worlds with equal ease and effortlessness, if we have the will to. We can remain pure in all worlds if you choose to. Escapism is not a solution. Be at home where ever we are. Environment does not matter. Our deepest determination and will matters. And spirituality is not only for saints. It is accessible to all, it is inherent in all. Renunciation is a state of mind. You need not go to Himalayas for that.

A.M. Mohanji, we cannot have enough of you.

M: I thought the world is fed up of me. 🙂 Mohanji is not a person. It is a continuation. It is a constitution or a constellation. It is consciousness. It will always exist, even after this body goes back to where it came from.

Timeless Existence….

A.M. How are you today Mohanji? You were not well, last week

M: Consciousness is the same. Body keeps floating up and down. 🙂

A.M. Mohanji, what do you see in people, when you address large gathering? Their body, soul or karma?

M: I see SHIVA. All are Shiva. All are expressions of myself, just acting out individual karmas. No differences between one and the other.

A.M. Between man and woman too?

M: What has gender got to do with it? All are same. What is the gender of the soul? What is the gender of Parabrahma, the supreme soul?

A.M. Then why does Hindu religion have Gods and Goddesses? Why does Shiva have a wife? Why do you have a wife too?

M: HA HA 🙂 A. Everything are reflections of Parabrahma. All are one. B. Duality is the prime expression of relativity. So, there is two. “One” represents unity. There is nothing apart from one. Two represents relativity – You and Me. When  you and me unite, we become one – Unity. Shiva is the energy aspect while Parvati is the material aspect. Expressions become complete when they unite. But, essentially, man is an extension or woman and vice versa. Shiva is also Ardha Nariswara (Man and woman in one) I have married because this completes this soul’s journey too. Womanhood is sacred. Woman is mother. This is why we worship woman.

A.M. Your answers amaze me. So, all Gods and Goddesses are one?

M: Essentially one. All Gurus are one too. All knowledge is one. You are Unity. When you work through the body that you have rented for the time being, you feel divided from the Father. When you return the body to earth, you unite back again with your Father. We have attributed tasks and purposes to Gods and Goddesses. They represent that task. We have created deities based on certain systems, worship methods and certain mathematical calculations. If there are changes in that, there will be changes in deities too. There are Mulamanthras for each deity – the root manthra. The root sustains the deity. The root manthra maintains its attributed strength. There is nothing apart from ONE. What ever is apart from ONE is Illusion, Maya.

A.M. Did you ever fear that people may not understand you?

M: No. I never had any insecurity and will never have. I do not keep any agenda.

A.M. What is FEAR for you?

M: Illusion. Fear does not exist.

A.M. Do you have any fears?

M: No.

A.M. Even the loss of the near and dear ones?

M: I have already experienced the loss of near and dear ones in this life. I know how it feels.

A.M. What actually is terrestrial life?

M: Terrestrial life is only about various experiences.

A.M. When you look at the world, what do you see?

M: A Divine Comedy or Errors. HA HA

A.M. Life is comedy or errors for you?

M: Yes. It is a grand joke. I laugh at the seriousness of people. All are grumpy and serious. People are tired and wrinkled. HA HA 🙂 People are afraid to laugh – as if their teeth will fall off. HA HA With all that seriousness, they will die and go. What do they gain? I always laugh at life. There is nothing to be serious about here. It is indeed a comedy of errors. There is only this moment at our disposal. We do not even know our morrows. Then why worry at all?

A.M. Why errors?

M: Errors due to wrong identifications. Such as people think I am Mohan. I am Mohan for this world. I am not just Mohan. When I die, this body will be called Mohan’s body. People think they are their mind or intellect. Even that is not true.  A philosopher said “I think therefore I am”. So, what about him when he does not think – such as, in deep sleep state? Just look around. You can see wrong identifications all over. People believe they are something else and behave accordingly. HA HA

A.M. Last question. What is your real name? Why do you use Para Brahma as your FB name?

M: HA HA. 🙂 My official name is P.K.Mohan. P – family name and K – name of my Grand father. It is still my official name. Mohanji is the name that is used in the spiritual circle. This was initiated by a saint. And he started calling me Mohanji first and everyone followed afterwards. Mohan is the name and “Ji” is a respectful way of addressing. I do not call myself Mohanji. HA HA.
Moreover, I always sign off as “M” because the alphabet “M” usually has no value by itself. It needs something more, some more alphabets to gain meaning. So, I am just an alphabet, meaningless by itself, transitory, temporary and momentary. I keep myself as insignificant as I can. I have used the name Para Brahma in my Face Book page because, that is the mirror that I am showing to the world. Parabrahma is unity. Two words Para and Brahma cannot exist as duality. They must merge into one. It exists as an illusion. It must merge and is always merged as an entity. Secondly, it is a reminder as to who you are and where you belong to. You are Parabrahma and you belong there. Parabrahma is the Father, from whom all dualities have originated. So, this might tell you that we all are one and there is no duality amongst us and what ever we see as duality is just a grand illusion. So, the concept is the same as applying sacred ash on our forhead. Ash is where we came from and ash is where we will return to. We are just a handful of ash in reality. The ash on the forehead is a reminder. It teaches humility. Likewise, I used that name to remind who you are and what you think you are now. Two words represent duality, truth and illusion. I exist beyond all these.

Till We Meet Again….

Infinite Love

M

May Bliss be the thread of our Life on Earth. May Kindness and Compassion be our Expression. May gratefulness be our Attitude in Life.

Seek Nothing!

Seek NOTHING….YOU ARE THAT!!!

When Human Evolves Into the Subtlety That Creates Him/Her, He Knows GOD….

It was a rainy day morning in 2004. Rain-drenched trees and grass looked fresh and serene, in the shy, peeping sun. I was observing the divine glory of the nature, in silence. The communion was overwhelming. Nature was at its best. Soon, a small car pulled up and “Cathy” broke the silence and entered into my physical horizon. I had forgotten that we had a randesvouz that morning, as I was deeply absorbed in the subtlety of nature and was quite reluctant to come out of it. When the subtle silence of the nature merges with the silence within, we truly become the ocean of silence.

When our Mind accompanies our eyes, we see what is in front of us. When mind is completely removed, we see the Universe!

A few minutes later, we sat down with a hot cup of tea watching the rain. Cathy soon took out her paper and pen and off we started on a discussion which she wanted to use for her article in a magazine. Words only belong to us before they are uttered. Once uttered, they belong to the universe. So, nobody owns these ideas and corresponding words. Here we go…

C: Mohanji, an average human “seeks” something his whole life. Why?

M: Because, he does not know what exactly he is seeking. He runs after the glitters of life. He seeks externally, eternally. He does not know that what he seeks lies within himself. He does not know that there is nothing to seek. We seek something that we do not have, right? What do we lack at all? Seeking something not knowing what is sought, literally takes lifetimes away. This eternal seeking continues over generations.

Seek NOTHING! All that you seek is within you. We seek knowledge, pleasures, possessions and even enlightenment as if it is a commodity! 🙂 What ever we seek, eludes us constantly. We get frustrated. We miss the whole point. We go after books, gurus, ideas, various types of spiritual practices, relationships, money, love, food, sex….. And? There you go. Nothing works. Finally, at last, wisdom arises. Then, we start to unlearn, shed our skins of accumulations, one by one. So, first we insanely accumulate and then we struggle to give up, just like we cram food into our stomachs, we over eat and then we sweat and struggle to shed weight. 🙂  Many fears arise while shedding and they often wreak havoc. Finally, finally, when we become totally naked and empty, elevation in consciousness takes place. We get ready to dissolve. The path lies within us. The destination lies within us. There is nothing to seek outside. This eternal truth is difficult to comprehend and even more difficult to apply in life.

C: So, (visibly confused) what do we seek?

M: SEEK NOTHING. YOU ARE THAT. Instead of seeking, watch yourself, watch everything. Observe everything. Things are happening through us. We are not doing anything. Everything is within us. When we keenly observe ourselves with a child-like wonder, all duality will disappear. Expectations will disappear. We will start feeling the subtle power of supreme consciousness that runs through all beings like a thread joining beads and you will find the perfect symmetry of life in its large canvass.

We travel miles and miles in search of peace, while peace really lies within us. We seek external gurus, while the Guru Principle is already within us, built into our own consciousness. When seeking becomes too external, peace eludes us. Action replaces silence. We wander away from our true home and sometimes even lose our way. Then, it takes lifetimes to get back “home”. Do you understand me? 🙂

C: Well. I guess so… 😦   When will we truly reach this understanding?

M: When eligibility is right. Conscious, consistent effort is essential.

C: What could be a potential deterrent?

M: Inertia. Inertia is the cancer. It deters our determination. It wastes lives. It wastes lifetimes.

Mind Projects Glorious Images and traps us in Imagination….

C: What is inertia?

M: Tamas or Inertia is part of us. That part of us that gently guides, suggests us to sleep, plus our innate lethargy, postponement and escapism, anger and defensiveness, are all aspects of tamas. Everything that handicaps us, is tamas. Everything that binds us is tamas. Postponement and lazy inaction is tamas. Purposelessness is Tamas. Intellectual churning, constant analysis which leads to subsequent inaction, is tamas. Tamas is our inherent enemy, one that stays with us, within us always, and only manifests during our waking hours. It induces procrastination and brings forth a series of failures – even life gets totally wasted due to its influence. Craving for tamasic food such as old food, flesh of living beings (meat), alcohol, etc. are all signs of inherent tamas. Some proudly boast that they hate vegetarian food!!. They have no idea how much they are exposing their own weak constitution this way. 🙂 Tamas is our constant companion and mostly responsible for all our seeming failures of life. Beware of Tamas. Be aware of tamas.

C: What or who is the enemy of Tamas?

M: Rajas. Action. The best medicine to counter tamas is compulsive action. Action for the sake of it. Work hard. Only entertain adequate sleep. Organise yourself. Do not postpone things. Believe, decide that there will be no tomorrow and today is the only space in time that you have for yourself to fulfill and complete all that you have to do. Do everything today. Do not look or strive for too much satisfaction and absolute perfection. There should be adequate perfection, and more than that, there should be adequate attention, consistency and application. If rajas is expressed on the platform of selflessness, spiritual glory is accessible to you.

C: What is the role of Satwa?

M: Satwa is the ideal state of equanimity. Absolute objectivity is its sign. Unconditional Love, Selflessness and Compassion are its spontaneous expressions. It is difficult to stay in that plane. Just like a day has only three hours of satwic time, (approximately from 3AM to 6AM)  in order to exist in that level of consciousness is a tall order for an average man, one who lives in the routine world that we see around us. An average man is predominantly tamasic, then rajasic and seldom satwic. Even one who visits temples, churches or mosques, and one who is always immersed in chanting and worship may not be in the realms of sattwa. You need keen observation to understand its subtlety. When Rajasic mode shifts to selflessness, man touches the realms of sattwa. Still he could fall back into rajas or inertia at anytime. We can see even saints wasting their lives in relative luxury and pomposity, falling prey to tamas. Tamas is indulgence, compulsive indulgence and its associated slavery.

Nature Teaches Invaluable Lessons, Especially in Detachment. We need to develop “eyes” to see…

C: Understood. I am getting the picture. Mohanji, why are YOU, so elusive?

M: 🙂  Am I elusive? You are talking to me and I am answering your questions the way I can. 🙂  I am indeed an introvert who enjoys isolation a lot. Tell me what will I gain in the market place? Most of the things that the society offers, especially the sensory objects, have little value for me. I have seen it all. Tasted it all, over life times. Only through accomplishing it can we overcome it. We need to taste it to overcome it. Avoidance does not amount to eradication. When we entertain the feeling of lacking something, it will stay rooted as the seed of a wish in our mind, until its total fulfillment.

C: 🙂 I truly believe you, when you say you are in isolation. That is why we took so long to meet. 🙂 You kept postponing. 🙂

M: HA HA. Well, I was not too sure if there was a real purpose for this meeting. Just idling or wasting time discussing sweet nothings or gossiping about other people is not really my cup of tea. What do we achieve with all that? Instead, if we could use the time to float in the silence within, that will be much more meaningful. What do I have to give you, anyway, which you do not have already? 🙂 We are crazy for knowledge. What do we do with that? Do we ever convert that into wisdom and elevate ourselves? Has it delivered inner peace? Still we crave for more, more food, more emotional entanglements, and more knowledge. Still we wander in search of the “right location” to find inner peace. No location can give you inner peace. Inner peace essentially expresses itself, when mind is calmed. It will be obvious and unmistakable. Analysis and comparisons are a waste of time. Accept what you can consume. Reject what you cannot consume. It is as simple as that. None can force anything on anyone nor should they attempt to do that. This is violence. Violence of all kinds disturbs the collective inner peace. Tons of literature also will not help gain inner peace. Reading becomes another kind of escapism, equal to looking for the “right environment”. Instead, choosing to drop the baggage of compulsive habits and resorting to the silence within will help you much more. You will become self-sufficient. The ability to do this, you already have. What more can I give you? Why come to see me? See the GOD Almighty shining in the eyes of the poor and abandoned people, hungry birds and animals. Make them smile and remain contented. That will elevate you. I am telling this with due respects to you and your good intentions though. Now you cannot complain that I am rude and arrogant. 🙂

When we are “wonderfuelled”, Everything is a Miracle..Every breath is a Miracle….

C: Aha! Thank You. 🙂  A different subject – Why are miracles not happening these days, like many books have told us?

M: What is a miracle, according to you? Your very life itself is a miracle. Observe it keenly, observe yourself every moment, you will understand. How delicately and carefully has an ANT been created! How delicately and carefully a human baby is created! Cell by cell, everything at its right place!!! Look at the color combination of those flowers out there. Who is waking up those birds right on time, everyday; and who is making them sing so beautifully? Isn’t this whole universe truly wonderful? If you are “wonderfuelled”, you will be like a child and a child is its own master.

We cannot help but wonder at the beauty of creation from an atom to the universe…

Remember, all the so called human discoveries have been just another human attempt to see the fundamentals of already created materials. The core of every mass is energy. Our scientists still cannot conglomerate energy and mold it into desired objects at will. That is the fundamental principle of creation. Are we not far away from it?

C: Actually, my question is, there are great masters now, and there have been great masters before. There has been many avatars. Still, why is poverty and inequality existing on earth?

M: Who will question human will? Who wants to? All that we enjoy is created by us. Poverty and Prosperity are our own creation. When a man entertains selfishness and poverty consciousness, he must experience poverty in real life. Even if you distribute the whole wealth of the world evenly among all the people on earth, believe me, it will go back and conglomerate into a few hands, just like before. This is the law of karma. Man creates his destiny every moment. In the absolute sense, there is only clay, the supreme consciousness; all the shapes are our creation. So, why should or how could any avatar or master interfere? If I interfere in your decisions or even suggest my opinion, will you not revolt against me? 🙂  When we fall helpless and seek a helping hand, they do lift us up. They have done so in the past, they will do so in the future too. Guides are aplenty, but who has the time to follow them? And even if we get a good guide, we hardly know how to use him/her. We will still compare him with another, complain, and invariably find something lacking in him. This is human nature. Human mind can never be satisfied or contented. I have spoken a lot in the past. I have indeed cooked a lot of food for the world. Do you believe that someone has understood them, chewed them well and digested them?  Likewise, many have spoken, many have guided many. People are still on crossroads.

Mind leaves us at the crossroads always. It prevents understanding. It prevents silence and elevation. It discriminates. It destroys too. Detachment, objective observation and non-interference are the ways to bring the mind in your control. Only by getting closer and closer to the warmth of your soul can you effectively get away from the iron clutches of tamas and your mind. Only when your soul effectively fills into your inner space, will you experience real contentment. Sat-Chit- Ananda. While walking that path, there is no room for cramming in knowledge, analysis and comparisons; let alone criticisms and judgments of oneself and others.

Every Dimension is our Extension. If we fail to realize this, we will feel isolated and lonely…

C: What if I disagree?

M: 🙂 You have the full right. You must disagree. 🙂 In a way, disagreement amounts to individuality. But, as we evolve further and further, we may start to agree with what we disagreed with in the past. With better understanding and spiritual maturity, things will seem different. Remember, the dates in the calendar are much closer than they appear. 🙂 We are here only for a very limited time. We can neither stretch it nor reduce it.

C: 🙂 Subtly, you are pulling my leg. But, getting back to the original question, these higher entities can certainly perform miracles…

M: If the Avatars and Masters wanted to wipe out life on earth, they easily could. They do possess that power. But, it would be intervention into your free will. If I encroach into your privacy, will you tolerate that? You may even kill me. Moreover, remember that all Avatars and Masters always obeyed the rules of earth, while on earth, perfectly well. They ate food, used toilets, slept, suffered from diseases and old age and died too. Obeying the rules of earth would mean all the changes in body, desires of the mind, and even diseases in their body. They went through the process of childhood, youth, old age and eventual dissolution. Why did they have to go through these sufferings? Why could not they just appear, take a human form at will, and disappear at will? They came here to demonstrate dharma to us, using their own life. The life of every saint or Avatar is a lesson by itself. Their lives itself are their biggest messages. If they chose to be different from others and kind of all powerful and almighty, we will find that as an escapism to shrink into our own shell of tamas. 🙂 We are eternal escapists, aren’t we? 🙂 Hence, a real saint or an avatar will do everything that you do, so that you could connect with him or her. You could resonate with them. You could identify with them. Look at the life of Krishna. How much has He influenced the lives of generations and still continues to do so, just with His very life!!! Everyone can identify with him in some way or many ways. A child, a son, a lover, a husband, a father, a friend, a warrior, a politician, a vedantin, and above all, an Avatar.

Sri Rama was also an Avatar. He was indeed powerful. Why did he need the support of the army of monkeys (vanar sena) to destroy Ravana and rescue Seetha? Does an Avatar need support? Indeed He was very powerful. If He just used his power and performed miracles, there would be no Ramayana. Even if there would have been a Ramayana, it would have been just a fantastic, but totally un-achievable story, that can be performed only by a God, something we cannot identify with, and perhaps giving fancy to many fantastic super God – like hero movies. Now, there are many valuable truths such as Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema being elucidated through the epic Ramayana. Rama behaved like an ordinary man, a son, father, husband, so on and so forth, so that all of us can identify ourselves in some aspect, if not all, with Rama and Ramayana. Seldom did He display his true potential, just like all of us. We are all infinite Ramas. When do we actually behave like one? We have immense powers and potential. When will we shed our mental blocks and display them? So, please understand that all those higher entities that graced earth, behaved like human beings and underwent the law of time.

Who are We? Where are we from? This is man’s eternal quest….

C: It makes me wonder, are you from earth or outside earth?

M: It does not really matter. Just try to enjoy the food that I prepare. If it is not good for you, throw it away. Nobody is watching you or judging you on this one. 🙂

People have their ways and reasons too…Keep Walking Unaffected….

C: If people know that, don’t you think they will look at you with more respect?

M: 🙂 People are usually skeptical. They will not believe anyway. 🙂 They will look at me as a pretender and a propagandist. People like to believe more in scandals than search for the truth. They like to gossip and not evolve and liberate themselves. Ego does not permit apologies! Ego does not permit even beautiful relationships. Everything is seen through the eyes of a potential scandal, thus restricting the walking space of a liberated saint. Imagine the Guru is an alcoholic and womanizer. If his teachings are not good for you, it does not matter to you, does it? So, discard the Guru and his teachings. Now, imagine the Guru is an alcoholic and womanizer AND his teachings are good for your personal growth. It does not matter how your guru is, right? Just accept the teachings and discard the Guru. So, it does not really matter. Spirituality should never become a handicap for anyone. Spirituality means liberation from mundane bindings, even though it is definitely not a license for cheating and raping innocent devotees.

Are we not the same people who crucified Jesus? Are we not the ones who gave poison to Socrates? We even took the Great Master Shirdi Sai Baba to the court! We never accepted any saint when they were in their body. We glorify them after they were dead or killed. This is our nature. That is why our tradition insists us to respect our parents, our teachers and even our guests as God. We belong to a rich tradition of acceptance and love. Time has changed. Respect is a rarity. Today, relationships are based on usefulness and that too, mostly, commercial usefulness. There are many traps and quagmires in the path of spirituality. We certainly get what we deserve. So, it is advisable to accept life as it comes. People can express only their available consciousness which is varied and different from person to person. We cannot understand or appreciate another person’s dimension fully and completely. This is the truth of our existence. Then, how can one fully understand the consciousness of a Saint? This is why many people considered Akkalkot Maharaj and Shirdi Sai Baba as mad men. They were two of the greatest masters earth had ever seen. Datta Avatars!!!

Who craves for respect? Respect created through fear or compulsion has no longevity. Respect should happen by itself. Respect should happen from clear understanding of the stature of the Guru. Then it stays. Just like the money and fame earned through bad deeds does not last and often will not come handy when required the most, emotions have very short longevity. They die as soon as they take birth. People love scandals. Even if there are no truths behind scandals, the fertile human minds will weave their own truths. Awareness is the only medicine or remedy to cure jealousy, hatred, anger and all other evils. Awareness needs eligibility. Eligibility is attained through Viveka or the ability or wisdom to segregate truth from untruth, gossips or rumors, and staying with the truth against all odds. I have seen people coming with expectations and leaving with hatred towards me and my path. I lose nothing here. So, I do not give much importance to human emotions. They come and go. Who knows who will be with us tomorrow?

C: Seek Nothing… It bothers me. I feel as if there is nothing to live for.

M: This is because we are slaves of our mind and senses. They exist to seek everything. When you shift from your senses and your mind to intellect, you will feel the difference. When you shift from intellect and ego to your soul, you will seek nothing anymore. The seeker becomes the sought. They are one. You are that.

C: Hmm. What is Crystal Lotus?

M: The symbol of purity. Lotus remains pure and unattached even while existing in the mud. Water cannot drench it. Gods rest on the eternally pure lotus and display their presence at times. It is the symbol of subtlety and detachment. Nothing affects a lotus. It lives and dies in purity. A crystal lotus has no birth nor death. It symbolizes purity and faith.

C: What creates anger?

M: Unfulfilled Expectations. Tamas.

C: What creates hatred and jealousy?

M: Ignorance. Tamas.  The common factor in all negative emotion is Tamas or inertia.

Every Sunrise is fulfillment of an Eternal Dharma….We may fail to see its glory…

C: “B” says that you are as slippery as a fish.

M: 🙂 HA HA. A fish is so supple and fluid. This is a good state to be in, especially in the spiritual path. I hope slippery does not mean escapism 🙂 . Being unavailable is not a bad idea. Those who really need us will reach us, one way or the other. Being too available will also induce situations where you are taken for granted. Also, why should you be available always at all? 🙂 “B” does not know me. He swayed when people talked bad things about me. He forgot his own experiences with me and chose to marry others’ words. When you disown your own experiences and choose others’ words and circulate it, your spiritual progress ends there. You slip down a lot and it takes lifetimes to climb back to your earlier spiritual stature. Gossip mongers may find pleasure while spreading it, but, will suffer a lot to come clean from that karma. It is like an acute diabetic choosing to consume an ice cream. He will enjoy it, while at it and will have to endure lots of medicines and treatment to overcome the effects of this paltry pleasure. I only pity those who have to resort to these ways. They have no idea what they are doing and what the consequences are. They are in fact doing me a great favor. Those who were on the borderline, decided to go away and those who are really connected with me, came closer. Only they will be benefited, anyhow. Now, imagine what ever they said is true, just compare their words with your own experience and determine which has more weight. Use your intellect, your discriminatory powers wisely.

Now, I may behave like a “slippery fish” because, people try to put me in frames. Frames restrict. I constantly break frames. I am walking the path of liberation. I destroy anything that binds me, owns me. I  behave differently from their expectations so that they get disillusioned. This is my style of non-conformity. Those who get disillusioned, will drop off. Those who stay, will grow with me too. Those who entertain huge expectations from anyone, always suffer. This is the law of karma.

Nature is not tired of its creations. How can We?…. 🙂

C: Will you not get tired?

M: Being tired is Tamas. When you are forced to do what you do not want to do, tamas takes over. Tiredness is a sign of tamas. I love my mission. I am here to do that. I do not get tired. Once again, abundance is a perpetual state. This is also applicable in terms of energy.

C: What about giving? Won’t you deplete yourself?

M: A well never depletes itself, even if many buckets of water is removed from it. Fresh water immediately replaces the water that the bucket removed and maintains its water-level. The well remains constant. It is not the same with the bucket. It depletes itself when water is poured out completely. So, depletion depends on your stature. If you are a well, you will never be depleted. If you are a bucket, you will be. So, now you can decide what is what. 🙂

Memories drag us back into the past, Life moves ahead…No wave stays in the air forever… 🙂

C: Won’t individual consciousness contaminate the super consciousness?

M: HA HA! I like that. Look at the oceans! Many rivers of the continents pour much water into the oceans. Ocean remains the same. Likewise, consciousness is vast and unfathomable, a trillion times larger than the vast oceans of earth. Water can get contaminated. Consciousness can never get contaminated, just like your soul, which can never get contaminated and always stays neutral, aiding you, but not interfering in your lifestyle, what ever your lifestyle is. Individual consciousness, even when it becomes collective, cannot contaminate the vast super consciousness. Everything is nullified and dissolved in it, eventually. Bubbles exist for sometime on the water. Then, it dissolves. Likewise, individual consciousness stays afloat for sometime and merges into the super consciousness. Nothing remains for ever. Nothing has permanence, except the supreme consciousness.

C: That is interesting. What exactly is permanent?

M: The supreme consciousness, what some call the “Father”. Everything came out of it and everything goes back into it. Everything is projected out of the Father and everything is called back as well. The Father remains silent forever. The Father silently observes everything. Just like your conscience observes all your thoughts, words and actions, without interference, the Father watches the plays of life in the vast universe, objectively, unemotionally. 🙂

C: What is good? What is bad?

M: Nothing is either good or bad, in the absolute sense. All are just experiences. Just sundry experiences. So, my dear accumulation oriented man, think again, what exactly are you accumulating? Nothing actually belongs to you forever. 🙂

C: Do you operate in multiple consciousness?

M: Yes. I do. Simply speaking, in the limited consciousness associated with this body called Mohan and the higher conscious state which is well beyond this body called Mohan. All people do. But, the difference is, most do not know that they do, because they lead an unconscious existence. That is why they get surprised at certain revelations or messages that eventually come true. Even though I am trying to explain this in simple terms, this aspect has multiple facets. The distance between the limited and unlimited is sometimes huge and sometimes non-existent. We are simultaneously both. So, usually when we are angry, sad, depressed, disheartened, weak, etc, we are operating in the limited consciousness. When we tap into the higher realm and source subtle truths of existence, we are operating in the higher consciousness. I am explaining this in a tangible way only for understanding’s sake. This is a very deep subject.

We can see the expressions of our non-understanding in every segment in the form of emotions and expectations. In the education segment, especially. We fail to see the talent of our children and get immersed into molding them as another brick for the wall. We are afraid of risks and opt for safe bets. 🙂 A fish is powerful and comfortable in the water. That is its natural habitat. Our education system tries hard to make it climb a tree and in the end, call it a failure! 🙂 We expect a fish to climb a tree and in the bargain, we destroy the fish. Thus,we are destroying our next generation. Once their talents are crushed, they become insensitive and that is the reason for the gross insensitiveness that we see all around us. None cares. None are happy too. All complain, criticize one another and find pleasure in pointing fingers at one another rather than connecting to their own inner space, establish peace and share peace. When we give wind to the wings of our children, they soar confidently. When we trim their wings out of our fear and anxiety, they are crippled forever. We are what we make ourselves to be. We should always remember that.

The Eyes of the Universe are Always Open. In the abundance of its glory, who wants to sleep? 🙂

Enlightenment and Dissolution

Q: What is God? Can you Explain God?

God is unexplainable. God is EVERYTHING. The Good and the Bad is God. God can be experienced, but cannot be explained. Only in the depth of silence, can you hear the foot-steps of God. God is the vast and unfathomable entity, name-less, form-less, gender-less etc. All its representations are called LORDs. Lord Jesus, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, etc. There is only one God. But, it has many manifestations. Many expressions. All the expressions that we see in the whole universe are the one God’s expressions. Only when you go deeper and subtler, will you recognize that. It may take life times.

God is Infinity. It has no form, name, color, taste, smell or specific character. God is Omni-present. Everything that we could see and feel are its manifestations. God is beyond all dualities that are associated with relativity. God is in all dualities. God is in relativity, but God is not that. God has no states – even bliss state, all states of existence, are God.

God has no time or space, all time and space is God. God is neither happiness nor sorrow – all emotions are God, but God is not emotions. God has no Gunas (Satwa, Rajas, Tamas) – All Gunas are enlivened by God. God is perpetual awareness – various levels of awareness have its root in God. God is infinity, as the whole universe exists within God.

Lifetimes of Dis-entanglement from Karma Lead one to Liberation and Ultimate Merger with the Supreme.

God is the reason for relativity, which paved way for creation and creativity. God is the awareness of the reason for relativity. In the midst of multitudes of expressions, God stays liberated. God is above all Kings, Lords, Dieties, Demi-Gods, Angels, Demons, Devils, Human Beings, Animals, Birds, Reptiles and every other creation. God is beyond them all. All these exist within God. All these are enlivened by God. We can see only manifestations of God. We can only experience God. God is inexplainable.

God can only be Experienced not Explained…

Q: How can we experience God?

A: We can experience God, when we develop subtlety. This may take life times. We have to transcend sheath by sheath within ourselves until we unite with our own Soul, the source of our existence. We can call it enlightenment. Enlightenment also gives only a micro glimpse of God experience. When we have to continue operating in the body level, we keep shifting between the micro and the macro. Maya (illusion) lurks around the corner. It constantly attacks. Delusion is easy. It takes extreme vigilance to stay connected to the soul further. From soul, through extreme devotion, by shifting all the actions to dharmic mode, we can start to taste God. This is easier said than done. We have fallen so deeply in consciousness. Fortunately, we do not know how much have we fallen. In this way, Ignorance is bliss. 🙂 Since we do not know the depth of our fall, we can keep up hopes and keep climbing. Well, It is a deep subject. One can write volumes about it.

Enlightenment is a Shift in Consciousness…

Q: What is Enlightenment?

A: Enlightenment cannot be easily explained in words. Enlightenment happens, when the ground is set for its landing. It happens, when doing-ness stops and being-ness takes place. It happens in the absolute level of equanimity, where the ego element remains completely nullified. It is a shift in awareness. Enlightenment is a big leap. This means a leap from limited awareness, to unlimited awareness. From the state of limited body consciousness, its attached mind consciousness and its intellect and ego, to unlimitedly expanded awareness state. The awareness is in 360 degrees. You are aware of everything around you and the bodily boundaries are blurred. This happens when the same mind that goes for a stroll with the senses merges and dissolves with the soul instead. Deeper unity and total awareness take place.

States of Samadhi are unexplainable. Words fall helpless.

Q: Is the actual experience of Enlightenment describable?

A: It is not. Words are far too shallow to explain an experience such as the explosion of silence or cosmic consciousness. Many people have attempted it. Paramahamsa Yogananda does it in the ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’. Usually, silence slides in after the experience and the need for expression gets erased. For many people, the need for communication itself gets erased. There is nothing to do, nothing to prove, nothing to say. Everything just is. Everything is a part of our existence and we are part of everything too. In such condition, there is perfect stillness and supreme perfection. How can anyone explain such a state? Even if someone does, it will only become a theory in the reader’s mind. Moreover, Enlightenment experience is not the same for all. It differs from person to person. It differs with each person’s individual constitution. It differs according to the Sattwa, Rajas, Tamas combination of the individual who undergoes the shift. So, even though a general idea can be given about the experience, like Paramahamsa did, it is not really describable.

Enlightenment is a Juncture, a shift or transition. The Journey continues…

Q: Is enlightenment the final? Then what?

A: Enlightenment is like a graduation. You have arrived at a different level of existence. Then, before complete liberation, there are still miles to travel. However, the push of the mind for results will not be bothering you and hence the journey will be more pleasant. So, once the shift of higher awareness happens within, the path ahead becomes fully illumined.

Two main parellel things happen, quite simultaneously. One is the self purification and dissolution, and the second is the repayment of debts to the Mother Earth. This is the most treacherous time. First of all, the grossness and street-smartedess of terrestrial existence is less. And secondly, the enlightened one has to live with the gross society while existing in his/her subtler state. People get tossed around a lot, in this state.

Spiritual Journey needs firm Commitment and Conviction. Faith is the stick. Masters are its Road signs.

Q: The treacherous tracks

A: Indeed. When a man operates in the present, he is not plagued by the guilt over the past or the anxiety over the future. He lives moment by moment. When he is perpetually in 360 degree awareness it helps him in settling in more and more. This needs relative isolation and limited interaction. When the need for interacting with the world arises, we need the help of senses. When senses are to be used, there is a limited mind – like controlled electricity, necessary to activate the senses. This limits the man from his newly acquired larger awareness to limited sensory awareness. The more he interacts at the sensory level, the more vulnerable he becomes to the terrestrial lures. It does not matter if it is an enlightened man or an unenlightened one. The effect is more or less the same. So, if the Yogi intends to convey his wisdom to the terrestrial world, he also needs to face the consequences related to the terrestrial existence.

For most Yogis, who have already shifted from Karma to Dharma, terrestrial interaction is only a self-less service, SEVA. Then again, high level of equanimity and self-control is necessary. This is more easier for a woman than a man, because, men get lured by sight (Visual oriented-ness) and women get lured only by touch or feeling. Many Yogis fall. We have seen that happening time and again. This is also because, even though the enlightenment has occurred, the subtle samskaaras (impressions) are still existing in the deeper layers. This provokes desires for enjoyment of sensory pleasures, if he has not grown beyond it. Even if they have grown beyond it, often, hey reflect those who come into contact with them, as a truthful mirror. They express the other’s samskaaras, take it over and eventually suffer from that. This is mainly on two matters – Food and Sex. The two aspects that bind all species and human kind especially on terrestrial plane. If food is considered as sustenance to maintain the physical form and sex to maintain the species, man stays objective and unaffected by its lures. When it slips into greed and lust, man falls. Sometimes, they even pretend that they are immune to everything and perform the mischiefs in disguise. This pulls them down completely.

Many people who have tasted liberation, prefer to escape into anonymity and isolation. They do not stay at the same place more than three nights and do not eat from the same plate etc, to avoid any attachment. This truly helps. But, it is not easy. Not every one can do it.

Life is a transit from the Gross to the Subtle. Enlightenment is the result.

Q: Can you define gross?

A: Gross means gravity. Gravity only affects the gross or the dense. When the elevation in consciousness happens, lightness also happens. Gravity or pull of earth is reduced substantially. Each sheath of human substratum has various degree of subtlety. Each sheath is prone to some amount of terrestrial gravity, binding or, simply put – pull. As we shift from gross food sheath (anna maya kosha) to the mind sheath (mano maya kosha) itself, the gravitational pull is reduced in a subtle way. Then, through the shift to other sheaths, till bliss sheath, (ananda maya kosha), the transitions reduce dependency on earth. Thus, stage by stage, man attains liberation. As he transcends each sheath, his gravitational pull also gradually gets reduced. When you become the soul, there is no gravitational pull. Only the karmic baggage is prone to gravitation. From gross body to the state of our soul, through the sheaths, man transcends. This is indeed a long journey. Faith and Purity will accent the momentum and help the journey. In the journey, many obstacles will happen, triggered by Samskaaras and Vasanas (subtle impressions with emotions attached to them).

In the journey, many Masters will come as road signs to guide you to walk the right path. Many lower beings will come forward and confuse you too. You are free to choose your path, as options are available, based on your tastes, even though the final destination is the same for everyone.

Perfect Dissolution Merges us with the Infinity…No identification exists…

Q: Can you talk about Dissolution vs. Enlightenment?

A: Sure. So, enlightenment takes the awareness to the level of the soul. One who is enlightened understands the symmetry of the larger life behind his regular existence. Enlightenment does not automatically take one to dissolution. Dissolution is still an ongoing process. Dissolution is again, a sheath by sheath process. Impressions of numerous lifetimes have gotten stuck in the web of existence and our sheaths. In the place of action, impressions of thoughts, words and actions of generations lay preparing the rope for further action. Just like the external world, our internal world also has similar patterns lying deeply embedded to bring forth life to thought, word or action. True liberation happens only once deep and complete cleansing happens on various levels. Enlightenment helps this process, because the awareness is much higher at that state and it gives clarity, understanding and, essentially, objectivity from emotions. Aside from the embedded impressions from the sheaths, detachment from elements is also essential. This happens by itself. When awareness improves, elements – which are gross in nature, release its grip slowly and steadily. Remember, the lure of the terrestrial world is always waiting outside the doors of your senses. You have to constantly fight them with higher awareness and not by suppression. Suppression is not eradication. Existence without temptations -not needing any of it, even if it is available – is what helps this process.

Higher awareness is the key to detachment. When the grip of elements is less, man’s dependency on food, water, and a prescribed space for existence also gives way. He can then survive on universal energy. Ancient Masters have mastered the art of surviving without food or water and thought process. This is possible and indeed real. So, path of dissolution is long and winding. But, eventually, everyone must walk this path.

Dissolution is a process… Delusion is the hindrance

Q: Can Complete Dissolution happen in one life time?

A: Yes. But, it does not happen because emotions and attachments creep in with each new life, even if we are very careful and controlled. How could Menaka lure Vishwamitra into having a physical relationship with her? So, the path is very, very narrow and risky. It usually takes life times to eradicate all impressions, desires, and dreams to liberate the man from the need to be on earth. If the desires are earthly, he should be here. So, he keeps coming back.

The final is the debt that he must repay for using the facilities of the earth. That can be achieved only through self-less service for the mother earth and its children, which means all beings. The tool for accomplishing that is Unconditional Love. Complete liberation is a process. The deeper the silence in the Master, the deeper is His detachment. Desire to prove or talk is only on the surface, and that too, towards the shore, like waves of the ocean.

If a man talks too much, usually, he is surface-oriented, and does not have much depth. He will come back again and again till silence deepens and takes over. Silence does not mean physical silence. Silence means the silence within or lack of any mental activity. Switching over to dharmic life precedes complete liberation. He will need nothing from earth. He will give all what he has to the earth and its children. His existence will not hurt the earth. It will only soothe the earth. His walking on earth will make the trees, plants and animals of the earth rejoice. Big cleansing happens to everyone and everything, just by His sheer presence and existence.

True Gurus need nothing. They represent the Infinite Almighty.

Q: What do Masters want?

A: Nothing. They are just road signs. Their purpose is to guide you to your destination. If you chose to use the road sign or chose to ignore it and walk your path yourself, it is the same for any real master. It does not make any difference to the True Master. Only one caution. Do not confuse between an Acharya and a Guru. Acharya is only an exponent of knowledge. Guru is the manifested representation of the invisible Almighty. In our times, as technology rules our lives, we are always in web. Web means trap. This has also happened in Spirituality.

Acharyas who have only book knowledge or theoretical knowledge, pose themselves as enlightened masters and lure people for money. Have you seen any Great Master of the past, calling themselves enlightened? Take the case of Bhagawan Ramana Maharshi, Shirdi Sai Baba, Akkalkot Maharaj, Manik Prabhu, Bhagawan Nithyananda of Ganeshpuri, Sathya Sai Baba and all those truly powerful masters -they never called themselves enlightened. They never promised enlightenment to anyone, because everyone has to go through life times of cleansing to attain liberation, and they positioned themselves on earth to guide us unconditionally. Now, the tragedy is, Acharyas, or teachers who have no originality, call themselves enlightened, promise enlightenment and hang victims on pretensions. They keep articulating theoretical knowledge and pretend it to be their own experience. Their method of holding on to people is through fear and control. They contaminate minds by injecting fear and thus control their victims. These Acharyas have no originality. They imitate others. They will scan the market, identify what sells in the market, and package that in their own syllabus. They do not care about the consumer, because consumer is already helplessly bound through fear, with them. They change their stance also, according to market demand. If giving Shaktipat sells, they will start giving Shaktipat and initiate disciples into it. If Pranayaam sells, they make modules of it. If Hatha Yoga sells, they will teach it. Thus, they remain very flexible and observant. This is the tragedy of our times. Every Acharya pretends to be an enlightened Guru. Dress up accordingly, speak accordingly and mislead masses. Everything has become commerce – Spirituality too. Spirituality is Dharma. It is sacred. It is individualistic. It is not for sale.

(This does not apply to Nithyananda – despite the recent scandals, I still consider him as a real Guru Material. He has depth and spontaneity. His teachings have clarity and profoundity).

I wish all of You LIBERATION in this Life Time itself.

Stay Liberated, Operate in Unconditional Love, Be Love.

Only Love is real

LOVE YOU

Avatar and the Shift

An Avatar is a Dharmic Existence

Q: What is the difference between a true Avatar and a normal birth?

A: The difference is in Dharma and Karma. An Avatar takes a physical birth for a dharmic purpose. A normal birth is a birth for a karmic purpose. Liberated souls thus take human form for upholding the Dharma (duty and truth) without any karmic binding. They wait and choose the right wombs at the right time. Higher souls happen as mothers and fathers to bring forth such an Avatar to earth. Many liberated souls take birth to aid the Avatar in accomplishing His task. The very life of an Avatar becomes the message for generations to come. An Avatar operates on pure consciousness, without emotions or attachments. He or She just goes about doing the appointed purpose, objectively, without inhibitions. Liberated souls come back only for the higher purpose of upholding Dharma, or imparting wisdom which will in turn help uphold Dharma.

Life of a Siddha is Incomprehensible

Q: The death of an Avatar means?

A: When an Avatar leaves the body, it just means a shift from limitedness to unlimitedness. It means He need not operate from a limited body state anymore,  but will operate from that of unlimited super conscious state. Physical death is only a shift. It has no further value. Physical body is a severe limitation to a liberated soul. It is like a bird inside a cage. Even if the cage is made of Gold, a cage is a cage and the imprisoned bird has no value for the material out of which the cage is made. It stays to operate because it has appeared for a purpose. It must stay on, until the mission is accomplished. It does. And it leaves as effortlessly as it arrived, smiling and without any attachments.

The Divine Comedy called LIFE

Q: Attachments make a being karmic?

A: Emotions related to Attachments make a being karmic. When an Avatar operates, it is  impossible for emotions to creep in. An Avatar does not slip from dharmic to karmic existence. He always operates dharmically and for a higher purpose. He operates in perfect equanimity. He is purpose-bound and can never deviate from it. Emotions are displayed because the human frame cannot be insensitive. However, emotions do not bind an Avatar. Effortlessness is a symbol of their stature. Handling hardships with a smile unintentionally displays their true stature.

Eyes Catch Glitter. Heart Recognizes the TRUTH – Shirdi Sai Baba As a Young Avadhoota, original photo

Q: How can we recognize a higher soul?

A: Primarily through His expressions. You can know Him and understand Him, only if He chooses to display Himself. Many high souls walk the Earth, hidden from the Human ken. That is why many liberated Masters remain invisible. They are indeed performing their higher Dharma, relentlessely, without expectations, away from the public eye. This is also perfection in their sadhana ( spiritual practice ). This selfless service is the ultimate spiritual practice for them.

The Shift is in Human Consciousness

Q: What exactly is The Shift?

A: Shift in human consciousness.

Shift is Afoot

Q: Is the shift bound to happen?

A: It is already happening. Look at the pace of your own life now. You are moving so fast, the time for procrastination has reduced tremendously. The time to think or brood is very less. Dis-illusionment is more because many cannot cope with the pace of our existence. Existence is pushing us to be in the present, in the NOW. Our earlier generation had much more space and time and were not compelled to make as many “reports” as we do now. Look at the difference in attitudes. Either you are pushed to operate emotionally (and that means react constantly), or you are pushed to go within. You have only two choices in today’s world; either to play or get out of the ground. Those who have the eligibility, the will to hold on to the ladder and move higher up, can withstand the time. Those who cannot, will fall and get sucked by the whirlpool. They may not come back to the same place. Whirlpools always leave the matter elsewhere. Matter is bound to be re born; yet, at a different location and a different time. Those who can catch the vibrations well will operate in the present and get elevated to higher consciousness based on simplicity, purity and truth. Their awareness level will increase. The grosser will perish. The subtler will survive. This is the shift of consciousness.

Expression of Divine Consciousness is Unconditional LOVE

Q: In simple terms, what is higher and lower consciousness?

A: One who perpetually operates from the realms of Unconditional Love, possesses higher consciousness. He is selfless, kind, truthful and unattached to his actions. One who perpetually operates in the realms of selfishness, “I” ness, possessiveness, ownership, Greed, Fear, etc. operates from the lower consciousness. The operating levels declare the stature of the being.

Supreme Consciousness is Boundless Joy

Q: When does the True Love blossom in the heart of a seeker?

A: When detachment happens. Love will be for the sake of love. Love will become truly unconditional. True beauty of existence can be witnessed only through the divine sight or through the third eye. The more you operate through your third eye, you can only witness the grandeur and beauty of the creation and the Creator. You cannot see imperfection. The eyes that witness imperfection are the regular eyes, combined with regular mind. A being of higher awareness can only see perfection in the whole universe. “That what is beyond, is perfect. This, the limited, is perfect. When limitedness gets dissolved, only the grand perfection remains in its unlimited form.”

Q: Who makes do’s and don’t?

A: Limited mind.

Q: What creates Samskaaras?

A: Habits. Usually, habits are emotional in nature. Repetitive action creates attachment to action.

Q: What is ego?

A: Do er ship. The feeling that you are the “doer”.

Q: What creates attachment?

A: Everything. Any thought, word, action along with emotion creates binding and attachment.

Your True Friend is Your own SELF

Q: Who is our real friend; true friend?

A: Your Self; Your own Soul. Nobody is more closer to you than your soul.

Only YOU can defeat yourself. No one else can.

Q: Who is our worst enemy?

A: Yourself. Nobody can destroy you as much as you yourself can do. You can be “defeated” and “killed” only if you choose to. You can be liberated from everything if you choose to. It depends on what you choose. Your worst enemy and best friend is yourself. All others are secondary. So, how can we blame others for our weakness, or our fall?

Celibacy is a State...Marriage has nothing to do with it.

Q: What is celibacy?

A: It is a state of mind. It is a level of awareness. It is detachment in action.

Escapism only postpones an inevitable action to a later date.

Q: Can sex deter from the path of liberation?

A: No. Need to have sex, is a deep-rooted samskaara. Avoiding it is escapism. Over indulgence is attachment. Attachment is bondage.  Equanimity in sex will never deter liberation. Even amrut (celestial nectar) in excess can work as a poison to its consumer. Escapism only postpones an inevitable action to a later date. It never eradicates the seed of that action. It is more appropriate to go through the action, if you have to, rather than keeping it suppressed, what ever the action is. Every thought, word and action has the potential to create your destiny. Hence, everything that you experience today, has been voluntarily created by yourself at some point of your multiple existence. There is no point in comparing, complaining or postponing. Acceptance and ownership, in that aspect, will reduce your agony. Postponement will only harbor heaviness due to non-action. This is not only about sex, but everything related to life. A society-bound man, fearing a tarnished reputation, often lives in pretension. This only brings him back again and again to this terrestrial existence. At least one day of unpretentious living is much more important than a life time of pretentious existence.

Liberation is Possible - RIGHT NOW

Q: Can liberation be a reality?

A: Indeed, but that depends on the seeker’s attitude. You get what you deserve. Guru appears at the right moment, when the disciple is ripe and ready for him. You detach from a true Guru when expectations creep in. True Gurus consistently destroy the tendency of expectation in their disciples. Unripe disciples fall. They get dis illusioned and walk away to more predictable Masters. True Gurus are unpredictable. They do not conform to the regular expected norms of the society. Expectation is the biggest treason. All are prone to its lure. Expectations alienate minds. They build boundaries, create traffic jams and road blocks. Expectations create calamities. They shrinks the heart chakra and the ability to express your true nature, which is to love without expectations. Expectations make love conditional. Expectations take away the real flavor of life. Expectations even destroy, at times. So, liberation depends on the seeker’s attitude and ability to move from moment to moment without expectations, as a gliding fluid, completely present in the present, operating through the vehicle of unconditional love, selflessly, and with commitment to the truth, until he/she realizes that there is no distance between the seeker and the sought. The seeker then merges with the sought.

Experience is Golden. Words are Burden.

Q: Can you recommend me some books for this purpose?

A: Books cannot take you to liberation. Reading also amounts to doing. Through doing, none can get enlightened. Only through beingness can one get enlightened. Beingness is a perpetual state. Beingness is existence in awareness. This cannot be achieved through books. Books can explain you what beingness could be, as an intellectual understanding. It can also limit you, because you will start expecting similar results, in your own spiritual practice. Expectation binds and takes away the beauty of experience, especially if your perception or expectation of a result does not match the reality. There should be deliberate attempt to limit doingness and shift to beingness. It can be achieved effortlessly, by just deciding to operate in the present always. By deliberately bringing your mind to every thought, word and action. By having presence of mind, along with sincere practice of expressing unconditional love and gratitude, against all odds. This will lead to beingness. Perpetual beingness will necessarily lead to liberation.

There are some books that help your clarity and awareness. Some of them are: The Bhagawad Gita, Autobiography of a Yogi, Sai Satcharitha, Chidakasha Gita, etc. Too much knowledge is heaviness. It also deepens your ego emotion. When knowledge becomes a burden, it slows down your spiritual progress. Less luggage, more comfort. This is the fundamental truth of existence.

Remain Childlike. Remain Innocent. Remain in LOVE

Q: What is the least I can do to remain spiritual?

A: Love Unconditionally. Serve Unconditionally. Let all your relationships be beyond conditions and expectations.

Q: What is right and what is wrong in spirituality?

A: Nothing. Everything just is.

Q:  Do you agree with the way the world goes now?

A: I agree. What more can an individual do, against the mighty collective consciousness of a generation? I am far too small to create a mighty wave of change. Man gets what he deserves. So, I agree. Resistance means agony. So, I agree.

We Walk together, as long as Karma Takes us. No worries. No Regrets

Q: Why do friends part?

A: When combined karmic agenda ends, people part. When it begins, people meet or come together. The same applies to marriage, partnerships, love affairs, etc. People need common karmic agenda to be together. It can never happen otherwise.

Q: Mohanji, I am having sleepless nights.

A: Dylan, Me too. I have not “slept” since ages. Why do we need sleep? Sleep from what? There is only one reality, one Truth. Lets rather remain awake to that reality or truth. I believe you are on the right track.

I always Call. Who actually takes my call???

Q: Why didn’t you call me? Why didn’t you wake me up?

A: I have always called you, since generations. How come you never heard my call? Well – Who has actually listened to my calls? I tried to wake you up many times, but, you chose to sleep. I respect your choice. I am available. Using me is your discretion. I bring light to you. Choosing light or darkness is your discretion. Your decision does not affect the light nor does it affect the darkness. Those who witness light in darkness, remain in light always.

Q: Will I ever be blessed?

A: Have faith. You will be blessed.

Remain Blessed.

LOVE YOU…

M

What More can I do with Words, than I can perform with my Silence???

Diamonds and Stones

Life is Precious…Cherish it

Q: Life is Precious

A: Indeed. Life is precious. Every moment is precious. We have already missed many diamonds while we were busy collecting stones.

Life of Bondage is not LIFE at all

Q: Life is about Liberation

A: Indeed. But it is not about escapism. It is not about discontentment with what we have and lust after what we do not have. It is not about comparisons. It is not about sadness over inequalities. It is not about resistance and turmoils inside. Liberation is about LIBERATION – an existence in which you have everything, but need absolutely nothing. Whether a material is available or not, there is no agony or ecstasy. Nothing is essential. True liberation  is lack of dependancy on anything and being grateful about everything.

Life itself is the True Achievement – What ever your path is, what ever you are into.

Q: Life is about achievements

A: Indeed. But, it is not about the cups and trophies  in the wardrobe. It is about the blessings that you rendered to the helpless. It is about our ability to make a positive difference to another being.True achievments cannot be counted in fingers, but can only be measured through one’s spiritual progress, one’s level of liberation. True achievements are the tangible moments that we lived selflessly. This is the only place where everyone wins. All material achievements are gain for some and loss for some.

Individual Thoughts Add to the Collective Destiny

Q: Life is about Thoughts

A: Indeed. What you think, so you become. Thought is the first level of creation where energy is released. Thoughts arise out of an inherent desire existing in the sub conscious in the seed form, blooming in the right environment. Thoughts, if powerful enough, lead to further expressions such as words or images. If the words are powerful enough, they lead to action. Action, combined with emotions, becomes karma. Karma leads to further births. Thus goes the life of a Man. So, every thought is important. Nothing goes wasted in our system. Collective thoughts of a generation create events. Oppression or suppression brings forth an Avatar who will destroy evil and reinstall dharma. A life style based on procrastination and lethargy will provoke wars and change. Thus, at every point in time, all are participating in the creation of a collective destiny, which in turn becomes the individual destiny, in which ever degree it should.

For the Hungry, God is Food. Avoid Wastage of Food

Q: Life is about food.

A: Indeed. Body is a sheath made out of elements. Elements nurture that sheath till death and dis-integration. Body is linked to mind as much as mind is linked to body. Mind keeps emotions, including emotions related to food. Body needs are superseded by mind’s need for satisfaction. Mind rules. Body obeys. Obesity happens. Body does not need as much food as the mind needs. Mind nurtures craving. Body has its own intelligence. Our food habits reflect our character and destiny. Unconscious eating, emotional eating and craving leads to over eating, obesity and sudden deaths. Food that is cooked and stored, food containing dead organisms (which lacks praana) and food that is contaminated, decrease the consumer’s vital energy gradually and makes him vulnerable to many diseases. One who is in control of his consumption can be considered an emperor of his own life. Moderate eating which fills one third of the stomach, while one third remains filled with water and one third with air, is supposed to be the ideal quantity for a healthy living. Moderate eating, moderate sleeping, and moderate excercise along with personal hygiene makes a superb human. Wastage of food is a crime. It should never be entertained. Take only what you can effortlessly consume. Never take food for granted. Our body has consumed tons of food and gallons of water till date. Much more is wasted also. We live in a world where some starve and steal food while some fight obesity. Feeding the hungry is the noblest of all charities. Hungry can be a bird, animal or a human being. Irrespective of the type of body or species, we must educate our children to feed the hungry. This will arrest stress in them and make them higher beings in flesh and blood.

Success is Life. Life is success.

Q: Life is about Success

A: Indeed. True success of life depends on our growth in awareness. Success is in our spiritual evolution. Success is in our kindness expressed. Success is in liberating ourselves from all kinds of dependency. Success is in gaining simplicity. Success is in knowing oneself. Success is in success itself. All material successes are temporary and transitory. They come and go and involve either happiness or sorrow, but not equanimity. And yet, equanimity in happiness and sorrow, is the true success.

Faith Brings Miracles. Faith Moves Mountains

Q: Life is about Faith

A: Indeed. Faith happens, sooner or later. When ego subsides and gets nullified through consistent downfalls, faith happens. Faith leads. Faith soothes. Faith reinforces. Faith nurtures life. Faith elevates life. Faith stabilizes life. Faith Liberates man. Faith increases with experiences. Faith decreases when we disown our own experiences; swapping it for other’s opinions or book knowledge. Faith increases when surrender becomes absolute. Faith decreases when ego becomes predominant. Faith is real, if it is spontaneous. Faith is transitory, if it is induced or inherited. If man’s herd instinct leads to certain faith, it ends when he turns a new corner. Such is the passing faith which has no longevity. Faith based on conviction is more real, if conviction is based on truth.

Great Masters set examples of Selfless existence and unconditional giving.

Q: Life is about giving

A: Indeed. Only when giving becomes unconditional, and absolutely devoid of any expectations. Giving is not about wealth or money. Giving time, energy, knowledge, guidance, information, space, food, water, medicine, clothes, books, healing,  and everything else, done with pure intentions and without expectations indeed transforms a man into a “MAN”.

One who gives glows. One who selflessly moves in the society, radiates positiveness and hope. Even if his life is short, there will be LIFE in each moment. His purposefulness itself will radiate LIFE. Life is not worth it, if lived without any benefit to the world around us. It is nothing superior to the existence of an animal. Life is in Giving. Giving is essential in Life. Giving strenghtens and raises man to the level of God. It liberates him. Unconditional existence always liberates man.

Gratitude Makes hearts RICH

Q: Life is about Gratitude

A: Indeed. Gratitude liberates and positions the mind on the present. Being in the present itself is liberating. Gratitude makes the heart rich. A rich heart is  more precious than a rich wallet. Gratitude invokes child-like wonder in the mind. It makes life worth living. When gratitude becomes the essence of our character, excesses vanish, ego vanishes and anxieties vanish. Gratitude supports faith. Gratitude provides equanimity. Gratitude reinforce unconditional love. If you have to choose one quality in life, choose gratitude. It is worth it. Everything else will fall in place by itself.

Real Power is in Real Control of one’s mind and senses

Q: Life is about Power

A: Indeed. The real power lies in the state of control of  intellect over mind. When man becomes emotional, intellect gets shut down. Uncontrolled senses and mind amount to human weakness. Senses in control of the mind and mind in the control of intellect make a man powerful. The real wire puller is the soul, which is the all powerful. But, it does not express its power. It never over rules any decision of the mind or intellect. Having power, but not expressing it, or having to express it, is real power. Power, if used to create harmony and love in the world, is truly noble. Power, if used for conquests and suppression of other being, is demonic. How we wield our power depends on our basic character. Power makes a man naked, as it exposes his true nature. Some use power benevolently and for the benefit of all. They are true expression of the Almighty. They never entertain any barriers within, such as caste, creed, culture, countries, colors, communities etc. They are Universal beings. Their nature of expression is unconditional love. Some use power to control other beings through fear. They are insecure; and those leaders who create fear and control indeed lack character and quality.

An individual or an organisation is the same in this context. Organisation is a body consisting of many individuals. Power should be used for wiping the tears of many. It should be used for protecting rather than destroying. Power should be used with awareness and not emotion.

Power is a double edged sword. It could hurt the one that wields it. History is full of examples. One who has absolute power needs to be absolutely careful. Power should create harmony, love and peace. That is real power. One who has his mind in control, is really powerful too. Nobody can shake him ever. He will never be insecure. He will live a life of equanimity. Thus, the real conquest is the conquest of the mind.

The Power of Purity is incomparable and True

Q: Life is about Purity

A: Indeed. Purity of thought, word and action liberates man from everything. It strengthens his existence. Purity is power. Purity is truth. Truth is pure. All elements resonate with truth. Our whole being resonates with truth and purity. The whole universe resonates with truth and purity. When we live truth, purity happens. When we live a life of purity through consistently expressing purity through every thought, word and action, we elevate ourselves to an existence of supreme consciousness. There are no barriers in the realm of purity. There is supreme strength in the purity. The power of purity is tangible. The power of purity unburdens in various levels. The power of purity liberates. The power of purity immunizes from the rocks and shocks of daily existence. The power of purity radiates. Purity empowers.  Purity strengthens. Purity liberates. It brings gratitude into existence. It quells the wandering mind to a thought-less state. It quenches all questions. It brings contentment. It brings stability. It makes our very existence, a great experience. It fills our existence with Life. It brings purpose. It fills life with faith and hope. It connects us to the highest of consciousness. The Power of Purity is unfathomable. It is the nature of the Supreme.

Questions gets repeated, a 1000 times, until the mind drops dead. Then it is peace. Deep peace. Deep peace of acceptance. Deep peace of living the truth….

God Bless All

LOVE YOU

M

After 1000 questions, the mind drops dead. Liberation begins there.

The Avadhoota Awareness

Perfection in Renunciation

Q: What is an Avadhoota? What is the avadhoota awareness?

A: A man who always exists in super conscious state and is a perfect and complete renunciate can be called an avadhoota. He has no interest in any worldly emotions, achievements, name, fame or  possessions. He usually possesses all the siddhis (spiritual powers) that happen automatically with spiritual evolution, but, does not express them unless extreme necessity happens. He usually has no transactions or give and take with the world and exists on earth only to guide people to liberation. The world of an avadhoota is perfect because He usually exists in His inner world, basking in the glory of supreme consciousness. An avadhoota never gives lectures nor writes books. His life itself is His teaching. The consciousness level of an Avadhoota can be compared only to that of the supreme almighty. We cannot fathom it or explain it. If I may borrow the lines of Adi Shankaraacharya, we could possibly get a glimpse of the awareness level of an Avadhoota. Mind you, the following lines are not expressions based on intellectual understanding from the mind of an Avadhoota, but His living reality.

Great Master Shankaraachaarya

If we can digest this properly and live it fully, we attain the awareness level of an avadhoota. We attain Shiva. This is the essence of all Upanishads and all scriptures. Deepest and humblest Pranaams to the Great teacher Shankaraacharya for this garland of precious jewels.

Q: Ashtanga Yoga

A: Yama – Niyama – Asana – Praanaayama – Pratyahaara – Dhaarana – Dhyaana – Samadhi.

  • Yama = Ahimsa (moral codes or non violence in thought, words and action), Satya(truth), Asteya(non-covetousness, theft or entering into debts), Aparigraha (non possessiveness, absence of avarice), Brahmacharya (Appropriate use of vital essence. Celibate when single – faithful when married, Divine conduct, Continence), Kshama (Patience, responsive and not reactionary, always in the present.), Dhriti (Steadfastness, completion of all tasks to possible perfection, overcoming non-perseverance, fear or indecision.) Daya (Compassion, Natural expression of love, kindness and compassion towards all beings. Never harm or injure any being) Arjava (Honesty, straight-forwardness, renounce deception, dishonesty or wrong doing of any kind). Mitahara (Control in consumption. No emotional consumption. Never eat too much or too little. Average appetite. Never consume any dead organisms or organisms without any praana – like fish, seafood, meat or eggs.) Shaucha (Cleanliness of body and mind)
  • Niyama = Saucha (Clean body and mind ) Santosha(Happiness), Tapas (discipline & thereby mental control), Svadhyaya (which means becoming close to oneself, through meditation and self-exploration) Isvarapranidhana is to lay all your actions at the feet of God).
  • Asana = Postural Perfection, while mind kept steady over Self.
  • Praanayaama – Perfection through breath. Touching the subtler plane of our existence. Concentration through breath control. Health through proper breathing.
  • Pratyaahaara – Sense control. Detaching senses from sense objects through consistent practice. This does not amount to suppression of desires.
  • Dhaarana – Concentration on the sub straatum – the seat of  desires and observing them like a witness. Desires reduces systematically and awareness increases gradually.
  • Dhyaana – Meditation. Awareness on the self or what ever is the object of meditation.
  • Samaadhi – One with the self and from there to the supreme self or one with the object of meditation. Existing in one consciousness level. One awareness level. Unity. Oneness.

Q: Ashta Siddhi
A: They are:

  1. Anima (capability of making the body minute)
  2. Mahima (increasing body size),
  3. Laghima (ability to become light),
  4. Garima (power to make the body heavy),
  5. Ishitva (possess divine powers – lordship),
  6. Vashitwam (power to attract others ),
  7. Prapti (power to secure anything),
  8. Prakamya (ablity to become invisible).

Siddhis are automatic, as we evolve. Preserving them as sacred keeps our potential intact. Mis -using them degenerates our spirituality. The equation is simple. If Moksha is the purpose of our existence, we have to go beyond the temptations of siddhis and stay steadfast in the path of liberation. Siddhis could pull a saadhak down to the quagmire of karma.

Q: Nava Nidhi
A:  Nava Nidhi means nine types of wealth. They are:

  1. Parakaaya Pravesha – Ability to enter another body – even a dead body.
  2. Haadi Vidya – Siddha has no hunger nor thirst. This vidya helps detach from the requirement of food and water.
  3. Kaadi Vidya – No seasonal changes affect the man. Seasons cannot touch him. This also means winter and summer cannot affect the Siddha. He does not feel heat or cold.
  4. Vaayu Gaman Siddhi – Siddha becomes lighter than air which facilitates His air-travel. He travels from one place to another in a few seconds.
  5. Madaalasa Vidya – Siddha increases or decreases the size of His body using this knowledge. Hanumanji has famously done this many times.
  6. Kanakadhaara Siddhi – Siddha acquires unlimited wealth through this siddhi – if he chooses to. Avadhootas are hardly bothered about money and wealth. They live in a perfect world of supreme consciousness.
  7. Praakya Sadhana – Directing souls to wombs – even to the extent of motherhood to barren women.
  8. Soorya Vigyan – Through the power of rays, transformation of materials are achieved. Sun rays are used to nullify and re create materials or transform them to the form they choose. Surya vigyan is an ancient technique used by siddhas.
  9. Mrita Sanjeevani Vidya – Rejuvenating the dead. Dead can be brought to life using this siddhi.

A Great Siddha - A perfect Bhakta

Siddhas are not bothered about these powers. They have no necessity to prove to anyone. They exist in bliss state always. Siddhis are based on eligibility. It happens when the seeker is ready. But, siddhis are also double edged swords. They can prevent spiritual growth and essentially  moksha(Salvation). Do not get stuck with siddhis or even the thought of siddhis. Let it come and go, if needed be. Stay always close to your soul and the Brahman.

Understand that the potential of every being is the same, irrespective of whether he is rich or poor. The awakening of it makes the difference. None are empty. None are high or low. All possess the same quality of soul. All souls are children of the supreme soul. All belong to the Supreme Father. Everyone’s ultimate aim is to reach Him. Every body has a duration. Every form, name and identity will dissolve and disappear sooner or later. No one is immune to changes. All are one. ONE SOUL. All are SHIVA. Shivoham!!!

God Bless All

Love
